B.A.T.S at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta has been well known as one of the best Steak Houses for a long time ago. B.A.T.S has offered oversized portions of Linguini, Caesar Salads, Pizzas and Steaks, but now they have a lot more choices of new Steaks coming out in mid-December 2013. B.A.T.S has changed their menu into a classy looking menu with more value added options to customers. They also serves up nightly live entertainment starts from 6.30pm until 9.30pm with Local Band (everyday) and after 10pm with International Band (weekdays). The concept of New York underground Bar and Restaurant right in the heart of Jakarta will give you more dining experience where you can enjoy good live music and satisfy your appetite together.

A hearty classic meal of Braised Lamb Shank, served with creamy herb polenta, pickled lemon and fried onion rings. I enjoy the succulent tasty lamb meat on this menu. They braised the meat for at least 4 hours. The meat has lovely flavors, and the gravy is delicious.

Chef Mark Mulder (Executive Head Chef Shangri-La Jakarta) and Chef Freddie also served us with 3 premium cuts from Australian Grain Fed Beef 300 days “Ranger Valley”. It’s a premium Beef product which spends 300 days on a feedlot. All Ranges Valley cattle have been selected for their superior marbling qualities. The cattle are fed slower (300 Days on Grain) on specially-designed ratios that focus on slower growth, to enhance the natural flavour and tenderness of the beef.

All grilled steaks are served with sauteed Mushrooms, Onion rings, Corn in a cob, vine tomatoes and your choice of sauce: Red Wine Sauce, Chicken Gravy, Lemon Butter Sauce, Mushrooms Sauce, Black pepper Sauce and BBQ Sauce. The most favorite dressing sauce is Black pepper and Red Wine Sauce. I love everything! All the steaks were so juicy, tender and flavorful! It tastes as good as it looks and my favorite are the Rib Eye and Striploin Cuts.

Chocolate is everything, and this one has become my new favorite one in B.A.T.S. This decadent chocolate mousse is so dazzling and so rich with dark chocolate. It tastes as good as they look; perfect for an after-dinner dessert. Must try!

This one is also the Best Seller desserts in B.A.T.S. It’s made from pure chocolate and nuts. The dense chocolate brownies is served with a scoop of vanilla. It taste heavenly but I must warn you that it is quite sweet. Recommended!
