[NEW SPOT] Great Dinner at The Immigrant Dining Room

Immigrant Jakarta now has turned into something new, called The Immigrant Dining Room. With its new renovation, they separated the club and the restaurant into two different venues where there is no direct connection between them and both of them located at the same location on the 6th floor of Plaza Indonesia. This is way much better than before, so everyone can enjoy their food without being disturbed by the loud music and bad smell from the cigarette smoke. The Dining Room also sports a bar, a semi-private alcove and both smoking and non-smoking areas.

The Dining Room at Immigrant is a casual fine dining restaurant which offers sensational, unique and sophisticated ambience with all modern details they could think of. I really love the overall ambience especially at night, so romantic!

From Art Deco touches that evoke the energy of the Roaring 20s to the homey feel of a 60s diner (leather booths anyone?) to the retro-futurist influences of industrial metal, all design elements are meticulously brought together within the Dining Room’s 400-plus sqm area. Furthermore, sash windows overlooking Jakarta cityscape give off that fresh semi-alfresco dining experience whenever weather permits.

If you want something fun and fresh for this summer season, try their favorite non-alcoholic drinks such as Apple Mojito Mocktail and Mad Mango Mocktail. For something with a hint of Vodka, you can try Green Apple Daiquiri Cocktail and Jack Rabbit Cocktail.

Iced Peach Tea

This Peach Iced Tea is so refreshing and comes with fresh peaches, great for summer days!

Apple Mojito Mocktail, IDR 55K

The classic Apple Mojito Mocktail with Red apple, mint leaves, and Lemon. It has a very light sweet taste and I like the minty flavor coming out of this drink. Love it!

Mad Mango Mocktail, IDR 55K

A simple summer mocktail drink made of Mango, Cucumber, and soda water.  Great mango with a little bit sour taste. Recommended!

Frozen Green Apple Daiquiri Cocktail, IDR 98K

A famous daiquiri cocktail with a twist of Apple, Vodka, Spinach, and Lime. It gets its fruity apple notes from the apple juice and has a very light alcohol taste. My favorite!

Jack Rabbit Cocktail, IDR 98K

For something else which has a sweet taste, fruity and mild alcohol, Jack Rabbit Cocktail is worth to try. It’s made from a mixture of Vodka, Carrot, Apple, and Orange peel. Taste refreshing!

Smoked Tomato Soup, IDR 45K

A thick and tangy soup, that has a rich flavor from the smoked tomatoes. It is served with crunchy baguettes on the sides. Recommended!

Potato Skin, IDR 45K

I love whatever food made with potato. This potato skin is so crispy and best when you dip into the sour cream and the sweet chili sauce. Recommended!

Grilled Italian Sausage (400gr), IDR 225K – non halal

This is one of the new menus in the Immigrant Dining Room. The 400 gr Italian sausage was grilled into perfection and served with rucola and vanilla shallot dressing. I noticed basically its a homemade pork sausage seasoned with various herbs and spices. The taste is a bit salty, similar to Chinese food products named “Lapchong.” But this one is so tasty, big size and flavorful! Must try!

Iga Bakar Bumbu Bali (500gr), IDR 190K

This is absolutely one of the best grilled ribs ever in Jakarta. A Balinese inspired Barbecue Ribs contains a total 500 gram of US Grain-fed Beef Ribs served with rice, fresh vegetables and clear soup on the sides. The meat is so tender and succulent that I easily tear the meat without knife at all. It took 48 hours to process the ribs and the seasonings are perfectly marinate! You would be amazed by how tasty these ribs are! Must try!

VALRHONA Dark Chocolate Fondant, IDR 65K

For the dessert, Varlhona Dark Chocolate Fondant is also something that you don’t want to miss when you dine in this restaurant. It was so good! Simply heaven when I find a rich dark chocolate melted inside. Must try!
