Hey friends, I just returned from the newest Social Pop-Up hangout venue in J-Town, BLU at Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta last night. And now I’m going to share with you about this new-cool place in town. I think everyone already knows about Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta, 5 star Jakarta luxury hotel strategically located in the center of Jakarta’s Sudirman business district which is ideally suited for business or leisure travelers. Shangri-la Jakarta now ready to pamper everyone with something new and fresh to them in the presence of BLU. Surrounded with a beautiful garden, you will see a blue colored spot which is located right next to the butterfly-shaped swimming pool.
This place comes alive when the sun sets as it is open in the evenings, starts from 5pm until 12am every Wednesday to Saturday.
Mr. Daniel Kaeflein, as Director of Food and Beverage Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta, gave a welcoming message to all special invitations last night.
All of the special guests invited to the soft opening event seems to be enjoying everything from BLU. It was not just the cozy ambience, but all the light meals and various cocktails from the Bar; either its signature Moët Hennessy, Champagne, White Wine, Frozen Margarita, etc. accompanied along with the beats of the guest DJs or live music performances.

If you read this review, you probably start questioning is there any minimum charge to use the comfy bed at BLU? The answer is Yes! There is a minimum order of IDR 1.200.000, -++ if you want to use the comfy bed at BLU; you can use it alone or bring your best friends as much as you can. Of course, you can still enjoy everything in BLU without minimum order at the standing area.
BLU will open to the public in mid August 2014 for a limited time only. So, whether you’re feeling blue or not, you gotta visit this place! Don’t miss it guys! Psst, they also have several main courses such as Meat and Chips, Yellowfin Tuna Tempura, BLU Nasi Goreng, Lobster or US Beef Burger, Satay Satay BLU, and the F! Fries.
