[NEW SPOT] BART – Bar At The Roof Top at Artotel Thamrin, Central Jakarta

There are so many rooftop bars have been opened recently in Jakarta, and today, I want to share with you about BART Bar At The Roof Top; the latest rooftop bar in the city located in Artotel Hotel Thamrin, Central Jakarta. I don’t know since when the rooftop bar becomes a trend in Jakarta, but this place is surely interesting! Located on the seventh floor of the hotel, BART offers you a great view of the Jakarta skyline towards Thamrin, Sudirman and Rasuna Said. I went there for a weekend stay-cation with fellow food bloggers last week and got a chance to experience the beautiful and cozy rooftop bar with black and white color theme on all the furniture and the ceiling. I call it, a Zebra themed!

That afternoon we followed some of the activities held by Artotel Thamrin, and one of them is how to make a Spicy Rita, one of their Signature Cocktails in the Bartender Class.

First, we squeezed a slice of lime to get some fresh lime juice, and then we add the remaining ingredients to a shaker; tequila, Cointreau and pineapple juice. Shake well together with ice and pour into the prepared glass. Last but not least, a slice of fresh orange that float on top of the drink makes a beautiful color. It’s fun to drink and tastes so refreshing!

After the bartender class had finished, we were presented with a wide variety of snacks ranging from salty to sweet. All this food tasted good, especially when it’s paired with a cup of good coffee from the Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine that’s available. Mini Burger, Eclairs, Cheese and Mushroom Bread, etc. We enjoyed them so much!

Exactly one hour before sunset, we were invited to join in the Drawing Class. This is the first time we draw an abstract picture on canvas with the guidance of the art artist. Although I’m not sure about what I did on the canvas, and my picture wasn’t the best among others, I was quite happy because the art artist said, if viewed from the standpoint of the composition, my creation is a good one. I don’t understand what he meant by that, but hey.. thanks for the kind words! Hahaha.. It was fun!!

Pssst, BART just held the Grand Opening party this evening (Friday, Oct 17, 2014), but unfortunately I could not join in the Grand Opening party because I have been working overtime. Anyway, thank you Artotel Thamrin for having us and once again, congratulations BART for the Grand Opening tonight! ‘
