I accidentally found this place, Bourbon Eatery and Coffee when I really do not know where else to go in Mall Alam Sutera. Apparently, this is a new restaurant that was developed by the Bong Chandra Culinary Group after successfully building a prison-themed restaurant named Bong Kopitown. Bourbon has the interior design with a touch of rustic and warm, with an open pastry corner which display the common France pastry. The presence of sunlight entering through the windows of the restaurants makes this place even more comfortable. The dining area is separated into two parts, smoking area in the outdoor and non-smoking in the indoor parts.
There was this “Pay One for Two” promotion at Bourbon, valid only for Coffee. So, I ordered the Iced Hazelnut Latte and ordered another cold Coffee as the bonus with Vanilla Ice Cream on top. The weather was very hot, but sipping a cold coffee like this could restore my mood again though the coffee tasted decent.
Naughty Fries, IDR 42K
Among the other two menus, I would come back to Bourbon for this one. The crisp potato with thousand island sauce tastes so good, and they combine it with some crispy fried onion rings. Simple yet makes me addicted! Recommended!
Scrambled Egg Muffins with Smoked Salmon, IDR 52K
I couldn’t figure out which one is the muffin as they served just with a flat bread underneath the scrambled egg. The salmon is nice, and the creamy soft scrambled egg makes it better.
Macaroni and Cheese, IDR 48K
Well, this is a quite good presentation of Macaroni and Cheese, but, unfortunately, the taste is not as my expectation. The macaroni was overcooked, and the creamy cheese sauce was quite bland. Not my favorite.
From overall experience, Bourbon could be my next stop destination to chill out with friends, or having a light snack with beloved husband when we’re around Alam Sutera again next time.
