For those of you who live around Kelapa Gading, I’ve got a good news for you! Burger spots, yay! There’s a new burger and fries spot called Bun n Bite, which just opened a month ago (07 November 2014). I decided to have lunch here after finished become a speaker for the Fun Culinary Photography event in Calais, Mall Kelapa Gading. It’s kinda hard to find this place even though during the day because the signboard of the restaurant and the building are all colored in black. But if you’re familiar with the Kelapa Gading area, you will easily find this place; located a few blocks after Bubur Bon Ong, and before Sedap Penyet Restaurant or a few blocks before Sushi Joobu.
I was quite surprised because this place is almost full, even though it wasn’t lunch time anymore. I went there around 3 o’clock in the afternoon with my husband, and looking at the crowd, I guess these people have the same curiosity like us. Ha-ha.. There were not much seating available on the first floor, and because it was already full, I went straight to the second floor, where all the seating is quite spacious with minimalist sofa and wide table.
For those of you who like to drink, Bun n Bite provides a selection of classic cocktails, beer, martini, and margarita. Other than that, they also serve tea, coffee, and milkshakes. We tried Green Tea Latte and fresh Orange Squirts that day. Among two drinks, we both liked the Orange Squirts better than the Green Tea Latte. It tasted so fresh where the fresh orange juice and soda, mixed with muddled orange fruit, topped with orange sorbet.

Bun n Bite serves a variety of American-style food with homemade products, and of course, this place provides Burger as the main menu.
Fat Bob's Fries, IDR 30K
Before trying out the main meal, we tried one of their favorite light meals, such as the Fat Bob’s Fries. Crispy and natural cut french fries with the potato skin on, mixed with crisp Beef Bacon, salted fish, grilled onion, cheese, and aioli mayo. Delicious and got us addicted! Recommended!
Heart Attack Burger, IDR 62K
Here in Bun n Bite, customers can customize the composition of the burger depending on their personal preferences starts from the type of bun, beef patty, sauce, and toppings. But because I’m too lazy to pick one by one, I immediately ordered one of their favorite burgers, called the Heart Attack Burger. The composition is similar to Drawf burger, but this one comes with additional Beef bacon and fried egg that make it look more appealing. The Burger size is pretty big, filled with the tasty 150gr homemade single beef patty made of Australian beef, complete with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, and aioli mayo. Soft brioche bun and crispy and salty fries complement one another; it tasted delicious! Recommended!
Bob's Double Sliders, IDR 70K
To celebrate the Christmas season, they offer two special menus of the month. I tried one of them, Bob’s Double Sliders, which consist of 1 chicken rings, two cheese sliders, and one salty fries. Similar to the above, but these two burgers come in smaller and different bun type. The brown color bun made of Pandan leaf and spinach, while the red bun colored with a fresh bit, so all the buns are made fresh daily and use no coloring nor preservatives. Although the size of the burger might look small but the size of 100gram beef patty in it turned out to be quite filling. This menu is suitable for sharing up to two persons. Recommended!
I felt happy because finally there is a nice place for a good burger and fries, where the prices here are all relatively affordable, unlike other burger places. We enjoyed their yummy burgers, juicy beef patty, and can’t stop munching the salt fries with the potato skin on, favorites! Price for burgers ranging from IDR 55K to IDR 62K while Fries are ranging from IDR 24K to 38K. Pssst, they’re open from 8 o’clock in the morning, and they serve a variety of breakfast menu, such as Ultimate Amish Skillet, Croque Madame, various omelette, etc. If you’re a big fan of Burger and Fries, you should try them!!
