I heard from a friend that Noah’s Barn Coffeenery opened a new branch located in Dayang Sumbi, Dago, Bandung since the end of December 2014. We’ve been to their first branch at Jalan Garuda, so this time we took the initiative to visit the new branch before leaving Bandung and back to Jakarta last weekend. The new branch is located right across Bee Hive, and I’m happy to see that this branch is so much bigger, homier and better than the ones at Jalan Garuda. This place was packed when we arrived, but it was worth the visit. While waiting, I noticed something interesting.
The communal table in front of the entrance looks attractive, and there’s a wooden shelf that showcases some coffee drip device. The coffee bar also nice for everyone who wants to see when the barista makes coffee for customers. Instead of sitting in an indoor area, we chose to sit in the alfresco area with wind gusts blowing and lots of green trees around it.
Flat White Coffee, IDR 27K
When you see the picture below, you’ll notice a cute 3D Koala Latte art on top of my flat white coffee. Yup! Noah’s Barn is one of the coffee shops that is known for a wide selection of good coffee with interesting latte art, the way you want. It’s similar to latte, but stronger because it consists of less milk and more espresso.
Hot Cappuccino, IDR 27K
Aha! If you’re fans of Disney Tsum Tsum, I bet you easily notice the one on my cup. Yes, it’s Donald Duck in Disney Tsum Tsum version, so cute, isn’t it? Well, of course, a good cappuccino was hidden at the bottom.
Noah's Salmon Super Salad, IDR 55K
We’re quite full that afternoon, but we were tempted to try the Salmon Super Salad. A big portion of assorted greens with orange segments, baby potatoes, sliced avocado, grated melted cheese, eggs, tomatoes, and crunchy Tempe crumbles. It’s served with a choice of dressing; honey mustard, balsamic, or French vinaigrette, and we opt-in for the Honey Mustard dressings. There was a bit of fishy smell of the cooked salmon, but all the combinations complement each other well.
If you are on vacation in Bandung, try to stop by the newest branch of Noah’s Barn at Dayang Sumbi. Enjoy their coffee, and a variety of food that’s available surrounded by green scenery will give you a different experience. This place easily packed during the weekend and will be difficult to get a seat in the afternoon. I suggest you to go there early, so you do not have to queue for long.
