Good news for all burger fans out there! There’s another new Burger spot called Burgerous Restaurant that is located at Taman Ratu, West Jakarta. The restaurant has been opened since the end of November 2014 and finally we had the opportunity to visit this place. We heard they serve a variety of delicious burgers, along with tasty fries, drinks, etc. at affordable prices. There’s a big letter B signboard with neon yellow color, so we easily spotted this restaurant; located right before Bank BTPN, in the same row before Bakpao Teck Kee Tang Ling Pao and right across Sonju Hair Art Gallery.
Although Burgerous seems to focus on burgers, they also serve a variety of savory desserts, rice dishes, cocktails, tea, etc. Right in front of the entrance there’s a counter to place an order. Diners can choose a burger, the rice, make a combo meal, add toppings and pay directly at the cashier. This is similar to the other fast food concepts.
There’s a minimalist patio for the smoking area and larger indoor space for non-smoking area on the second floor of Burgerous. Here you can find lots of interesting spots to take selfie pictures in the restaurant. Get the ideas from the pictures below!
Durian Iced Tea, IDR 15K nett
Banana Colada Mocktail, IDR 18K nett
If you are an adventurer like us, I suggest you to try something different rather than ordered the same iced tea every day. We tried the Durian iced tea that has the aroma and taste of Durian. Don’t expect it to come with a real piece of Durian because it costs only 15K. The Banana Colada Mocktail also tasted sweet and sour with a fragrant smell of banana. Both of them were so refreshing!
Jucy Lucy is the star of all burgers in Burgerous. Besides that one, I also ordered the Fried Cheese Burger, which sounds unique to me. Both of these burgers stuffed with fresh lettuce and homemade beef patty using beef imports from Australia. The big difference between the two were the buns and how they are presented. These burgers were unique and tastier than what we usually find in fast food restaurants. You have to try them both!
Jucy Lucy Burger, IDR 55K nett
Jucy Lucy was amazing! The burger came with a moist toasted bun and a surprise package of cheddar cheese melted inside the 130 gram beef patty. We enjoyed the center of melted cheese! Oh, look at that cheese!
Fried Cheese Burger, IDR 50K nett
While the Fried Cheese Burger served with deep fried burger bun, a slice of cheddar cheese and 90 gram beef patty. The savory flavor of the secret sauce mixes perfectly with the sweetness of the icing sugar over the bun. Beef patty was very juicy and perfectly cooked in medium rare level as we wanted.
Fiery Chicken Rice, IDR 35K nett
Whenever a restaurant serves butter rice, I always opt-in to it because I love butter rice! So, in addition to burgers, Burgerous also serve buttered rice for all rice dishes. Fiery Chicken Rice looks appealing from the menu, so I tried this menu as well. Deep fried chicken fillet with a crispy texture served with mixed veggies and buttered rice. The homemade Fiery sauce tasted a bit spicy for my taste, but it blends well in overall. The butter rice itself was tasty and fragrant; it was delish!
French Toast Ice Cream, IDR 40K nett
French Toast usually comes with Vanilla Ice Cream, but Burgerous provide something different. Two pairs of pan-fried white bread filled with Kaya and Peanut Butter, topped with maple syrup and icing sugar, plus with a refreshing Kopyor ice cream. It had a good flavor and best eaten while it’s still warm, and mixes it with the ice cream.
Aha!!! Currently, Burgerous is doing a special promotion during March 2015. Check them out guys and don’t miss it!
Overall from our experience, we really enjoyed both burgers above, the beef patties, and the seasonings! Forget the traditional burger for a while and try something unique in Burgerous! Good service, good burgers, cozy atmosphere and a very nice easy-to-go packaging! Oh, don’t forget to try the cheese stuffed burger (Jucy Lucy) when you’re there!

Good? Absolutely. Affordable? Not really. I prefer have my burger at above 5 sky bar at PIK. Maybe because the place is too close to my house, i feel that it’s too expensive for Taman ratu area. Just my 2 cents

Thank you Ivan for visiting our blog.. 🙂 Yeah, perhaps so.. But I guess people will appreciate the food at that price if they opened in Senopati, Kemang, etc. It’s pretty affordable and reasonable to me; ranging from IDR 30K NETT for the beef burger, chicken burger, fish burger, etc. And even better, without additional tax and service. Yay 😀
