[NEW SPOT] Affordable Lunch at Pentabear Kopitime SDC

It’s always fun to spend the weekend with hubby after busy with my daily job on weekdays. I went to Pentabear Kopitime in Summarecon Digital Center (SDC) in Serpong, Tangerang for lunch a few weeks ago. SDC Serpong is a new building where everyone in Serpong can easily find all the IT stuffs, ranging from digital cameras, computers, photography needs, gadgets, etc. But I’m here not to share the gadget things, ha-ha.. Okay, so.. This restaurant is not big, but the indoor ambiance is quite comfortable with minimalist decor, and the large glass windows provide natural light to the dining area.

Ice Milo Dinosaur, IDR 18K

We opted to try the Ice Milo Dinosaur, which recommended by the waiter. Both of us liked Milo, so why not? And I think every kid around the globe loves it. It’s a cup of Milo drink with a spoonful of powdered Milo added on top. It tasted good and very refreshing!

Nasi Lemak Komplit Set Ayam dan Telur, IDR 35K

Nasi Lemak is one of the classic Malaysian dishes that we usually find in Malaysia or many other Malaysian restaurants. It’s a set of fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf, served with fried chicken, egg sambal, anchovies, toasted peanuts, potato chips and chili. The chicken was quite crispy, and all the combinations complement each other, especially the chili. So yummy!

Nasi Gulung Ayam Telor Asin, IDR 25K

I have no idea why they wrap this dish with banana leaves. It looks similar to roasted rice (Nasi Bakar) but this is not it! It consists of white rice, stuffed with some boiled chicken, salted egg, and a few slices of green chili. It tasted good in overall flavor, and the banana leaves made it fragrant, but I still prefer the savory rice in the above picture.

From my overall experience, Pentabear Kopitime serves reasonably decent food at affordable prices. The food that we’ve tried above was not bad at all, the portion was quite filling, suitable for students who are studying or living in the boarding house around here. In addition to the above menus, they also provide a breakfast menu that we usually find in many Kopitiam in Jakarta, ranging from toast bread, boiled eggs, teh tarik and others.
