[NEW SPOT] Watts your coffee? Find out at WATT Coffee Kwitang

WATT Coffee, a new artisan coffee brewer located in Kwitang, Senen, Central Jakarta seems to attract a lot of attention among fellow coffee lovers because I saw some pictures spread on social media about this 2-month-old new coffee shop in town. My husband easily found this cafe because he often passes through this area, and we decided to visit this coffee shop last weekend. There were not many guests when I arrived in the afternoon, so I placed an order directly at the cashier and chose to sit next to the window.

Although the coffee shop is small, however, we love the homey ambiance that they present in the cafe. Yellowish light creates a warm atmosphere for visitors, but it was quite tough for us when we took some pictures in there. Ha-ha..

Red Velvet Latte, IDR 32K

Instead of ordering the same latte, I chose to try the Red Latte, which is one of their favorite latte drinks. This Latte has a vibrant red color with a nice latte art on top. Despite the slightly sweet taste of red velvet when compared with a normal latte, but it was still enjoyable, especially because of the cold air after heavy rain during the day.

Hot Chocolate, IDR 32K

There’s nothing better than a cup of hot chocolate when I felt cold because of the rainy day at that time. It was a simple but delicious blend of sweetness and richness of chocolate that satisfied my craving for chocolate.

Asian Chicken Strips, IDR 55K

This dish is a new menu created by the owner who I met at the cashier. He said that it’s his most favorite among the two other dishes, so I added this to my order. And it was so delicious! A portion of bite-sized chicken covered with spicy caramelized chili sauce and deliciously crispy on the outer part. They also added a sprinkling of sesame seeds that provide a tasty addition to the chicken. It was pretty spicy, and we loved it!!

I haven’t tried other coffees, but we were satisfied with the meal and drinks that I’ve mentioned above. Staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Though the coffee shop is quite small, but it’s cozy and nice place to hang out with friends, just to have a casual meeting, etc. If you’re around this area, make sure to visit them!
