[BALI] Cicchetti at Soleil, The Seaside Restaurant at The Mulia Bali – Nusa Dua

Bali is a popular holiday destination in the world for its golden beaches, culinary, and so many interesting things. So, if you happen to be in Bali, I would recommend you to enjoy a great lunch or brunch with a seaside view at Soleil Restaurant, The Mulia Bali. The Mulia Bali as a stylish Nusa Dua Beachfront Resort-style with stunning beach frontage along the Nusa Dua’s Bay has received so many awards and recognition in the world. It’s why we didn’t want to miss this place when we were in Bali and decided to visit The Mulia Bali on my Bali itinerary.

Soleil, which means “Sun” in French, that offers Pan-Asian Mediterranean cuisines, overlooking the pool and the beach. Although the sun was shining brightly that day, the atmosphere is still felt romantic, supported by an elegant and modern decor inside the restaurant. We chose to enjoy our lunch accompanied with the sweet pleasure of a summer mocktails such as Mulia Delight and Mulia Garden. They are made from a combination of summer fruits, such as passion fruit mixed with fresh honeydew melon kiwi for the Mulia Garden, and passion fruit mixed with fresh orange, pineapple, and peach for the Mulia Delight. Both of these drinks were perfect to beat the summer heat! Trust me; you’ll love it too!

That day we tried a new concept that’s available at Soleil, called Cicchetti. For Cicchetti, diners can enjoy a variety of small bites available in different packages and is only available on Friday and Saturday starts from 17:00 to 22:30. There are 4 packages of Cicchetti that we can choose; Piccolo (choose six items, IDR 298K per person), Medio (choose ten items, IDR 458K per person), Grande (choose fourteen items, IDR 588K per person), or each additional item (minimum order 6 dishes per person, IDR 55K).

We’ve tried many of their recommendations. All looks so impressive, from the crispy selection, such as Gamberreti (lightly fried tiny shrimp), and Baccala (unique croquette made of codfish and potatoes). The classic Pancetta (grilled Kurobuta pork belly served with pickled vegetables) also became a winning dish for us. The pork belly had that melt-in-your-mouth texture, so tender and addictive. Make sure to order Pancetta when you are at Soleil for Cicchetti. If you like raw and marinated fish, you should try the Crudo Salmon, Ricciola (Javanese citrus marinated amberjack), and Tonno (yellowfin tuna tartare with cucumber and lemon).

Got a sweet tooth? I recommend you to try the Tiramisu Di Cioccolato where chocolate mascarpone cream and espresso lady finger coffee blends perfectly. Pistachio Souffrant with dark sweet cherry and chocolate tart was also delicious! Last but not least, we also enjoyed the refreshing Gelato Carino, and lemon Mascarpone Panna Cotta served with a fresh fruit melange.

Overall, the food was great, had a nice selection and beautifully presented. The service was great as well, all the staff were very attentive and friendly. If you look for a place to chill out, enjoy some light bites with beautiful ocean-side pools view, I highly recommend you to visit Soleil at The Mulia Bali. Besides the food, we were also fascinated with the towering stone statues that overlook the pools as we wander through the resort.
