If you are a fan of pork mixed rice (Nasi Campur Babi), you may already familiar with Nasi Campur Kencana. But, whether you’re familiar or not, I’m here to share the good news for you guys! Nasi Campur Kencana, which opened its first outlet in ITC Mangga Dua (4th floor), has now opened a new branch at the Fresh Market PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk). The first outlet in Mangga Dua is always crowded and full of diners, and other visitors are usually willing to queue patiently. We were pleased to know that the second outlet of Nasi Campur Kencana located in a very strategic area, right in the culinary spot in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) which is easily accessible from anywhere.
Nasi Campur Kencana PIK located in the Fresh Market PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) inside the food court area, right in front of Indomaret (2nd floor). There is plenty of seating available in the food court, so it’s not difficult to get a seat. Of course, we tried their specialty menu, and that is Nasi Campur (the pork mixed rice).
Nasi Campur (pork mixed rice), IDR 35K
The pork mixed rice (Nasi Campur Babi) consisted of chunks of roast pork (commonly known as Siobak or Samcan in Indonesian), sliced red pork (commonly known as Char Siu or Chasio in Indonesian), pork satay, some lapchiong, and half boiled egg that was cooked in soy sauce. Although it was served only with white rice and without Hainan rice, the overall taste was still delicious. We really enjoyed the roast pork cutlet that was so crunchy and flavorful, as well as other pork toppings. The Chasio seasoning tasted sweet and unique, served with chili sauce as well. Both sauces indeed became a nice complement to this menu. A must try!
Roast Pork (Samcan/Siobak - Babi Panggang), IDR 40K for 100 grams
Because of the roast pork was really delicious and very crisp, we ordered more of it. The roast pork can be purchased in various sizes; there are 100 grams, 250 grams, 500 grams and 1000 grams. Beware, you’ll be addicted too, like us! Ha-ha…
Pork Satay (sate babi), IDR 6K per piece
In addition to the roast pork, we also tried the pork satay that is also a favorite menu at Nasi Campur Kencana. The pork satay tasted sweet, savory, and tender.
Grilled Chicken Rice, IDR 27K
For those of you who don’t eat pork, do not worry because they also provide Grilled Chicken Rice. We can choose our favorite chicken parts, between chicken breast or thigh. The chicken thigh came in a pretty big size; the meat was tender and best to eat the chicken with chasio sauce and chili sauce as well.
Overall, we had a delicious experience at Nasi Campur Kencana. We enjoyed all the food above, especially the pork mixed rice (Nasi Campur Babi), which you must try. Do not miss to try the roast pork too! Friendly service, delicious food at an affordable price, makes us want to come back again. If you happen to be in PIK area, don’t forget to stop by to Nasi Campur Kencana in the Fresh Market PIK and treats your belly with these tasty comfort food. If you crave for Nasi Campur Kencana at night, just come to Fresh Market PIK because they are also open at block FMA no. 18 starts from 6 pm until 10:30 pm.
