[JAPAN] The Pavilion Japan of Expo 2015 Milano x Tohoku Region

Sake is a Japanese rice wine made by fermenting rice that has been polished to remove the bran. Everyone knows that wine, beer, and sake regarded as alcoholic beverages, but the brewing process of each product is different from one another, makes the alcohol content is also different. Undiluted Sake usually contains 18-20% ABV (alcohol by volume).

So, do you remember about the Tohoku region in Japan that I ever tell you before this article? At the end of July 2015, they have held an event called Expo 2015 Milano, held in Milan, Italy. Precisely between the date of July 24 to 27, anyone can come to taste a variety of Sake in the Jizake – Bar of the Pavilion Japan. Well, not only that, but they also have intense workshops, tastings, cooking shows, and talk shows during that period.

At The Pavilion Japan of Expo 2015 Milano, they celebrated the sustainable rebirth of Tohoku after the disaster of 2011. If you’re not familiar with Tohoku region; Tohoku region is an area that consists of Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, Akita Prefecture, Yamagata Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture, and Niigata Prefecture. It occupies about 30 percent of the area of Honshu Island, and a lot of tourist attractions available in Tohoku. We can explore their food, hot springs, temples, numerous sightseeing spots, and much more. So, it explained why many interesting events were presented at the Expo 2015 Milano to tell the culture, traditions and the deli of this special region of Japan. The four-day of Expo 2015 Milano were held to demonstrate a marriage of the food and culture between Tohoku x Italy. It was nice!!
