[NEW SPOT] Resto and Dessert Milky Bean, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK)

Hey, dessert lovers. Good news! I just went to Milky Bean, a new dessert house located in the Ruko Garden House, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta. We spotted this newly opened Resto and Dessert Cafe when we’re about to go home, and decided to try it. I checked on their Instagram, apparently the soft opening date of this cafe was on August 21, 2015, it means that the cafe is only a week old when I visited them yesterday. Luckily, this cafe was not as crowded as my initial predictions so that I can freely choose my desired seat. So, what do they have in here? Scroll down to find out more! 😀

As a restaurant, they only offer six main courses (spaghetti, fried rice, etc.) and some appetizers, such as Martabak, French Fries, Baked Macaroni, etc. While for dessert, they have a pretty good selection, but we were quite confused because they do not provide enough pictures or illustrations on the menu. Finally, we ordered the Milby Noodle with a choice of pork or chicken meat, and two desserts based on their recommendation.

Milby Pork Noodle, IDR 35K

Their noodle tasted similar to Bakmi Karet (bouncy textured noodles), and they poured white pepper as a simple seasoning for the noodle. It was delicious, but not so special for my personal preference. However, we enjoyed the fried dumpling, pork charsiu meat, and a round slice of roasted pork (commonly known as Bak Kwa or Dendeng Babi in Bahasa Indonesia).

Rabbitlicious, IDR 65K

The cute rabbit contained peanuts in it, and it’s served with some fresh fruit such as sliced green kiwi, strawberries, longan, small oranges and ice cream. All the combination including the Pillow Nutella Cream was not too sweet, which become the main reason why we liked the rabbit version more than the other one.

Pussy Milolicious, IDR 79K

And this dessert is called Pussy Milolicious. It consisted of Vanilla and Matcha Ice Cream, Milo Chocolate Chip, a lot of red beans hidden under the ice cream, served with Strawberry and Astor as a garnish. Undeniable the cat shape was so cute and adorable, but unfortunately, the overall taste was too sweet for us.

Overall, good service, friendly staff, and decent food, but the dessert were overpriced. Fortunately, they still have a promotion Buy 1 Get 1 Free Dessert for this month, September 2015, said the waiter, so I only paid the highest price among both desserts. Yay! Don’t miss it, guys!
