[NEW SPOT] Say Hello to the cute Original HELLO KITTY CAFE, PIK – JAKARTA

Hey-ho hellow Hello Kitty fanatics, rejoice! Yes, because you know what? HELLO KITTY CAFE Jakarta is set to open its cafe to the public within two more days, so, save the date, guys: Wednesday, May 18, 2016! Located in the happening culinary spot in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta, Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta is located right on the second floor of Tsubohachi Restaurant, which is also a new Japanese restaurant brought from Hokkaido (Japan). I had the privilege to join in their pre-opening session yesterday, and I’m going to spoil you with so many tempting dishes made by them where all the food has the cute elements of Hello Kitty.

Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta is like a paradise for all Hello Kitty fans out there. When I heard the name of this cafe, I thought that Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta will not much different from the Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe that I had ever visited in Taiwan several years ago. In Taiwan, all the waitress dressed so cute with Hello Kitty apron, and there’s a minimum of spending 300 NT$ per person (Click here to read more about Hello Kitty Cafe in Taiwan). Lucky us, there’s no such regulation in Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta! Yay!

So, what’s on the menu? For snacks, they have Caesar Salad (IDR 55K), Bacon Bits Fries (IDR 48K), Mushroom Soup (IDR 38K), and Kitty Sliders (3 mini burgers – original, with cheese, and aioli sauce, IDR 85K). If you want a more filling dish, try the Breakfast Platter (IDR 95K – non-halal). My husband was there without me, and he said that this was his favorite dish. How he liked the runny eggs from the two baguettes which served with bacon bits, sausages, chips, beans, and vegetables. Surprisingly, they also served Nasi Goreng Gila (IDR 65K), and you can also find some Quick Treats ranging from IDR 30K, such as Hello Kitty Donut, Cupcakes, Sliced Cakes, and etc. If you have a sweet tooth, you will like Kitty Zilla (IDR 98K) which consists of banana milkshake, cotton candy, fruit loops and all the goodness.

Not only children, but I believe young adults will go crazy when they are in Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta. Each section of the restaurant is decorated with Hello Kitty theme; from the furniture (tables, chairs, pillows, etc.), cakes, desserts, and main courses, all of them are so adorable! And certainly, they got the license from Sanrio Hello Kitty as well.

However, this is like a dream come true for every Hello Kitty fan’s out there. I have a feeling that Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta will surely become a must-visit cafe in PIK right away when they open its door to the public. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself waiting in line later! Thank you Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta for having us!

Oh well, not only that! If you love hotdog, go ahead try their Hot Dog (IDR 75K – non-halal) and Pinkwich (IDR 78K) where the cute Hello Kitty shaped sandwiches come with egg salad filling. Brick Toast (IDR 88K), Honey Brownies (IDR 78K), Kitty’s Garden Pot (IDR 68K) are something else on the menu that might satisfy your sweet tooth. In addition to the refreshments such as Citroen and Watermelon Slush, they also have some selection of coffee drinks available. I guess it was a pleasant experience, though my husband didn’t have a chance to try most of the food served that day.
