[NEW POST] Lovely Short Staycation at Le Meridien Jakarta

Sometimes we all need a short escape from the daily routine and our busy schedules and just take some time away, which is exactly what we did last month. We had the privilege to enjoy the newly renovated rooms at Le Meridien Jakarta, which is part of the story of our short staycation in this post. As you may know, Le Meridien Jakarta is part of Starwood Group; which offers a simple luxury and intimate charm in a traditional Javanese setting. Although it’s not the newest hotel in Jakarta, Le Meridien Jakarta still has the warmth and its charm, with a comfortable atmosphere, professional and friendly service, reasonable prices and a great location in the heart of Jakarta’s central business district (CBD) on Jalan Jendral Sudirman and directly across the World Trade Centre.

The front desk handled our check in smoothly, and we were given some welcome drinks on arrival. The first thing about the Premier Room that caught my attention was the high window with a beautiful view of the city, coupled with some complimentary provided in the room, such as macarons, chocolates, and fresh fruits. Naturally, both of us took some selfies with the city view as the background. Oh, well, you know, good natural lighting is important for both of us. Ha-ha..

My room which has recently been renovated is located on the 10th floor. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed; big bathroom (only shower available, no bathtub), contemporary decor with the latest

technology, coffee maker, 32-inch flat screen LCD TV, including complimentary High-Speed Internet access. With all the facilities and comforts provided in the room, Le Meridien Jakarta becomes an ideal place for a short break or romantic getaway without the need to travel out of the country nor the city. Just before dinner, we were led to Le Rendezvous Lounge where they have various offers for seasonal Sparkling beverages that moment. We tried the Sparkling Ginger Gin Tonic and Longan Lime Gin Tonic, both were so refreshing, and consists of Bombay Sapphire Gin as the key element of the drinks.

For dinner, we were served with lots of Lebanese foods at Al Nafoura Restaurant located on the Lobby Level of Le Meridien Jakarta. It was the second time we had a similar dish and really enjoyed everything. From freshly baked Lebanese bread, the BBQ lamb, and all the meat were well seasoned, tasty, and nicely presented! I would recommend you to try them if you’re craving for something tasty, yet unique from a Middle Eastern food in Jakarta.

Although I didn’t get a chance to explore and try out all the facilities, we had a 45-minute full body massage at Le Spa that made us feel relaxed during our stay. All in all, it was a wonderful stay for both of us, especially with the newly renovated room that is more inviting now. Thank you Le Meridien Jakarta for your great hospitality and friendly conversation with us, we had a pleasant experience during our staycation.
