[NEW SPOT] Modern and Tasty Fusion Food at Saine Daise Bistro, PIK

Opened just two weeks ago, Saine Daise Bistro is the new addition that you should visit in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area. Just yesterday, we went there for lunch, and from the outside, you will quickly see a huge banner with the sign 20% off discount during the soft opening. Located on the same row with Legend of Noodle PIK, Saine Daise occupies a spacious area on the second floor of this building. Saine Daise serves a wide variety of fusion foods that allow you to choose a variety of dishes, ranging from Western to Asian cuisine, French-Japanese, Italian-Japanese, some Japanese food, and even Indonesian food is also available on the menu.

There are plenty of options here, and by looking at the modern chic and elegant ambiance of this restaurant, which is pretty much similar to other concepts in Senopati area, I believe Saine Daise will be the next cozy hang out spot in PIK area. Pssst, there’ll be a new pastry shop as well on the first floor, called EIO which mainly focuses on providing Japanese style delicacies and they will open for public within a few days. Yay, can’t wait!

So, guess what we had for lunch at Saine Daise? Ah, as you can see from my SnapChat (follow my SnapChat ID: Myfunfoodiary), we had some of their favorite dishes. Something simple from the entree side, such as Caesar Salad with additional Salmon (IDR 80K) and Truffle Mushroom Soup (IDR 55K) are recommended! Although the soup wasn’t thick as I expected, it’s quite surprising how flavorful the soup was,

bursting with truffle aroma, smooth texture and served with crispy parma ham. The portion was quite big, and I was so happy with it! If you’re a fan of mushroom soup like me, this is the soup you don’t want to miss at Saine Daise. From the main course, we were looking for something different and unique, which we cannot find in other restaurants in PIK area (well, at least for now). So, yup, we decided to try the Fresh Blue Swimmer Crab with House Made Black Ink Pasta (IDR 150K), and Ami Ebi Angel Hair (IDR 80K). The pasta was beautifully simple with olive oil and garlic seasoning, well prepared and presented with 300gram of Fresh Blue Swimmer Crab. The quality of homemade black ink pasta and the freshness of the crab itself tasted delicious than I expected and it comes with lots of tasty crab meat in the pasta. Highly recommended!

Then, I instantly fell in love with their Ami Ebi Angel Hair. This was another beautifully plated dish which you should not miss when you’re here! I heard from the owner of this restaurant that this dish is popular in Singapore lately. The angel hair pasta was cooked just nice, thin and light in texture, accompanied with a bunch of crispy sakura ebi, and pops of black tobiko in the mouth. A touch of truffle oil in this pasta awaken my senses and boost the flavor to the overall dish! We will return to Saine Daise for this again!

If you’re in the mood for comfort food, I would recommend you to try their Gyudon (IDR 115K +additional IDR 95K for the Foie Gras). Their Gyudon somewhat tasted a bit different. With a little twist here and there, again we enjoyed this dish, and the portion was just right! What’s best is we can even fancify this dish with some toppings such as Foie Gras or uni. We opted-in for additional Foie Gras on the Gyudon, and the overall flavor was awesome!!

Last but not least, we also tried the Yuzu Cremeux with Almond Sable (IDR 55K) dessert made by EIO. The delicate and refreshing flavor of the Yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit) was something perfect to close all the meals with a sweet note. When you want some cocktails, don’t forget to try the Gin and Tonic Cocktail (IDR 90K), plus the Negroni (IDR 90K) where both of them presented in such a cute hand blown spherical glass with the glass straw. Overall, we had a great time and satisfied with each palate. So, if you happen to be in PIK area, don’t forget to visit Saine Daise Bistro to experience their warm hospitality in an elegant dining environment, and enjoy a variety of exciting twists!
