[JOGJA] UpSide Down World Yogya – Creative and Loads of Fun

As you can see from my SnapChat recently, I went to the happening Upside Down World Jogja, family attractions that just opened in Yogyakarta on 4 July 2016 (soft opening)! I never thought that after so many years, finally, I can return to this city again on a road trip vacation with my husband and mom in law. Jogja was beautiful, clean, and very welcoming. And thankfully, God sent this lovely couple, Surya, and Ling, who was so kind and willing to accompany us during our stay in Yogya. Yay, thank you!

The Upside Down World first opened in Bali, but unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to visit them even though we were in Bali for a few days on this vacation. But Thank God, we managed to visit the one in Jogja before we left this city and returned to Jakarta. Situated at Jalan Ring Road Utara (across Indomart Casa Grande), Upside Down World Jogja resembles a home consisting of two floors which include a variety of rooms, such as the living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, children’s room, laundry room, bathroom, study room, and more.

Fortunately, the place was not too crowded when we arrived that afternoon. Yay! But hey, this place is not that big, unlike the Trick Eye Museum that we visited in Singapore. Surprisingly, the decoration in each room is not just a picture, but all the furniture and properties in the house are real; from the chairs, bed, tables, etc. you name it. It’s really kewl! So, to be able to explore everything in Upside Down World Jogja, guests must pay for the admission ticket. For adults, they will charge you Rp. 80.000,- and for kids (with a height of over 1.2 meters) for Rp. 40.000,-.

Tickets:

Rp. 80.000,- (adults)

Rp. 40.000,- (kids with height below 1.2 meter)

There are photo frames hanging on the wall in front of each room that contains a sample image to give guests some ideas for the pose. If you are still confused, worry not, because they also provide a few of guest assistance who can give direction and help you take a picture. We felt a bit uncomfortable because there’s a problem with the air conditioner on the 2nd floor which caused the room upstairs was hot, and lack of air. However, we still have fun, explore everything, and took lots of photos with different expressions as well. Ha-ha.. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for all of us. Upside Down World Jogja is a nice place to express your emotion with kids and family, and make memorable fun photos together. Don’t forget to visit this place when you’re in Jogjakarta!
