[NEW SPOT] Home Brew Coffee for Coffee Lovers at Alam Sutera, Serpong

Yuhuuu, I have good news for you! As you can see from my SnapChat account today (add my ID: Myfunfoodiary), we just went to (another) new coffee shop that just opened its door a few days ago in Alam Sutera, Serpong (Tangerang). Home Brew Coffee Shop had its soft opening a few days ago (on July 18, 2016) and this is probably one of the nice coffee spots available in the Serpong neighborhood. It was quite tricky to find this place because there’s no signboard, and it’s located on the 3rd floor of One Home Residence, a new building behind the ex-Rasane restaurant in Alam Sutera, next to ASTC (Alam Sutera Town Centre).

When we came in, there’s one guy who was very friendly and welcoming. Apparently, he is the owner of this coffee shop, and it turns out he’s the husband of Nancy, one of the parents where I used to work at school before I decided to focus fully working for Myfunfoodiary.

Some foods, snacks, and desserts are also offered in addition to the coffee menu. All the prices on the menu include tax already, but unfortunately, there are not many dishes offered at the moment. I heard that they are still developing several new menus, and therefore, we only ordered a few of them; Signature Breakfast, Green Tea Latte, and Hot Cappuccino.

The Signature Breakfast (IDR 38K) was just a simple breakfast menu, consisted of an omelette, paired with sausages and sauteed spinach. It was as simple as that, yet delicious! I forgot to ask them what kind of coffee beans that they use, but the coffee tasted good, and several different brewing methods available here as well, such as V60, and Chemex.

Before we leave this place, they offered us to try some of their finger foods. The Potato Garlic Fries (IDR 28K) was simple and can be a good companion for my Hot Cappuccino and Green Tea Latte. While Crispy Chicken Fritter (IDR 50K) was like popcorn chicken, but it’s served with a homemade dipping sauce which is similar to a Thai sauce, but too sweet for my personal preference. Not to forget, the HomeBrew Chicken Wings (IDR 40K) was crunchy and served with a special sauce drizzled outside, my favorite!

Although they still need to improve the variety of their food, we had a nice experience at Home Brew Coffee Shop and would love to come back again next time to try some other dishes. If they put some more interesting dishes on their menu (which I’m not sure when), I believe Home Brew Coffee Shop will quickly become a regular stop for coffee lovers and those of you who enjoy a heavy meal too. This is the place to go for friendly service, and good coffee in a chic vibe in the Serpong area. All the best to both of you! 🙂
