[NEW SPOT] Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen Open for 24 Hours at Plaza Festival, Kuningan

It’s not a surprise that independent coffee shop rapidly grows in this big city, Jakarta. Apparently, going to a coffee shop has become part of our daily routine, a part of our lifestyle. Is it true, my friends? Well, I guess so. Who doesn’t? Ha-ha.. A few days ago, we went to Lucky Cat Coffee and Kitchen, a new coffee shop just opened two weeks ago. Strategically located in Plaza Festival, Kuningan (South Jakarta), this spacious coffee shop is open for 24 hours, wow! Walking into Lucky Cat Coffee and Kitchen is like walking into a chic home with lots of plants, marble and wooden tables, and streaming sunlight, which makes all your photos looks gorgeous.

This new kid on the block seems to packs up quickly. I went there around 2.30pm and the second floor was already full with guests. So we decided to use one table on the first floor and quickly placed our order at the cashier. The full menu offers both sweet and savory bites such as french fries, chicken wings, as well as a variety of cakes from the display. I actually wanted the Mushroom and Avocado Toast from the main course section, but unfortunately, it was sold out already.

Finally, I ordered something else, such as the Pan-Seared Salmon (IDR 79K), Blueberry Cheesecake, and a cup of Hot Cappuccino. Because they are still new, we got a 20% off discount by following their Instagram account. Without waiting for too long, our food was served on our table. The pan-seared salmon smelled good, and beautifully presented with sauteed spinach, cherry tomatoes, and baby potatoes on the side. We enjoyed the thick piece of salmon fillet, but there are some fish bones from the fillet. And I  liked how the spinach sauce adds a delicious flavor to the salmon. It was tasty, light, and flavorful!

What could be better than the Blueberry Cheesecake (IDR 39K) for an afternoon dessert? Yes, I’m so happy that I’ve made a right choice because the cake was quite creamy, and not too sweet. It paired nicely with a cup of good hot Cappuccino (IDR 40K) as it was not overly sweetened. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made me spend a few hours there while working on some articles and videos on my computer. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon break time at this coffee shop. If you happen to be in this area, you should try Lucky Cat Coffee and Kitchen, which turns out to be under the same management with Sajiva Coffee Shop in Tangerang, and Dimsum Inc Restaurant.
