When you think about a sandwich, what would you think? I have some answers in mind, and one of them is Quiznos Sub Sandwich. I’ve been a fan of Quiznos since they opened their first store in Rawamangun, East Jakarta in June 2015. Yeah, why not? Quiznos is the biggest sandwich chains in the world, based in Denver, Colorado, which specializes in toasted submarine sandwiches and Quiznos Indonesia received a very good response from the market in Indonesia. I went to their second outlet located in Lippo Mall Karawaci a while ago, and we liked their sandwiches. But hey, both stores way too far from my house, and I’m so excited when I heard that Quiznos Indonesia finally opened the 3rd branch located in Menteng, where they take place on the 2nd floor of Dunkin Donut Menteng, Central Jakarta. Wooohoo! Its location is getting close to me, and to you, sandwich lovers!
As you may already know, the first Quiznos restaurant opened in 1981 in Denver, CO and this little sub shop which began over 30 years ago in the kitchen of an old Italian restaurant has grown into one of the world’s premier quick-service restaurant chains and is still one of the best around.
Similar to the first branch in Rawamangun, the 3rd branch of Quiznos Indonesia offers a spacious dining area, and ample parking is available. With a casual, clean, and relaxed atmosphere, this spot is perfectly fit for busy consumers who are looking for tasty, freshly prepared alternative to traditional fast-food restaurants. We love this place! Not only because the food was good, but the staff is very friendly, and the open kitchen allows us to see, and smell what’s going on – when the staff assembles sandwiches right in front of customers. Everything is carefully prepared on the spot, with quality meats and fresh ingredients.
Quiznos Indonesia has a fairly varied menu beyond its sub sandwiches, including thin-crust pizza, salads and wraps, soups, and coffee drinks on the menu. Interesting, right? This time, we went back again to Quiznos Indonesia for its Iced Cappuccino (IDR 28K nett) that tasted so good and refreshing, plus one of our all-time favorite sandwiches, Zesty Steak Sandwich (IDR 90K nett, 9″ size). If you haven’t know about this yet, all Quiznos Sub Sandwich is offered in 3 different sizes; 6″, 9″, and 12″. We chose 9″ for Zesty Steak Sandwich, and decided to try some other menu such as Chicken Carbonara Sandwich (IDR 60K nett), Baja Chicken Pizza (IDR 55K nett), and one of the wraps that they had on the menu; Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap (IDR 65K nett).
The combination of honey bourbon dressing, zesty grille dressing, sauteed onions, mushrooms, generous steak, mozzarella and cheddar cheese on Zesty Steak Sandwich is something that I’ll want again and again – best ever! No wonder, this sandwich has become a best seller at Quiznos. In addition, this sandwich came with rosemary parmesan bread which I like for its good texture. While the Chicken Carbonara Sandwich surprisingly tasted so good as well. The Alfredo dressing went well with the roasted chicken, mushroom, beef bacon, and mozzarella cheese. It was so delicious and has now become our favorite too!
If you want something else, I would recommend you to try Baja Chicken Pizza which has a crisp texture to my liking. I loved the combination of the two sauces, Chipotle mayo dressing and BBQ dressing which makes the chicken and beef bacon more flavorful and tasted so delicious. And if you need a healthy addition to your lunch or dinner, you should try Honey Mustard Chicken Wrap. It’s actually a salad in a tortilla. We liked how they put lots of fresh vegetables, chicken, beef bacon, and everything into the tortilla. The portion turned out so big, ideal for a refreshing and easy lunch or dinner. Overall, we were satisfied with their food, including the friendly and attentive service from all the staff.
Quiznos Indonesia is very focused on quality, service, and cleanliness. It’s why they also received appreciation from Quiznos International, as Quiznosindo rewarded “Leadership Award” at Quiznos Annual Global Summit that held in Denver Colorado, in September 2016.
