[NEW SPOT] Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters Grand Opening at PIK Avenue, Jakarta

Good news, coffee lovers! The highly anticipated Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters from Australia with a loyal network of more than 1,000 independent cafes in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, is finally opened its first Indonesia outlet located in PIK Avenue Mall, North Jakarta. Yay! I was excited when invited to the Grand Opening of Toby’s Estate Indonesia event yesterday, 10th December 2016, and able to met Toby Smith, the founder of Toby’s Estate along with his team. Located in the outdoor area of PIK Avenue Mall, Toby’s Estate first cafe in Indonesia is designed with modern interior with their coffee bar as the center stage, featuring slow bar area where customers can experience first-hand the beauty of manual brewing. The cafe is pretty bright and with white as the dominant color, Toby’s Estate Indonesia offers a spacious space and relaxing ambiance that is perfect to catch up with some friends over a cup of coffee and some food.

Toby’s Estate International flagship cafes can be found in New York, Singapore, Philippines, Kuwait, and today; they spread their business across the Indonesian market along with their local business partner, Normi Group. On the Grand Opening day, the place was so packed and crowded with so many media, bloggers, and influencers friends, including some special guests seen there. After all the guests are gathered, they started the event where Mr. Imron J. Kusuma, as the CEO of Toby’s Estate Indonesia, giving a welcoming speech. He also introduced Toby’s Estate team from Australia, as well as share a little background about Toby’s Estate to everyone. Interesting facts that I heard from the press conference yesterday, they easily sell more than 1000 cups between 6 am to 9 am every day! Can you imagine how many cups were sold during the day? Wow! What makes Toby’s Estate Indonesia so special is not only because of the finest coffee bean they use, but because this first cafe which is also the very first coffee

shop in Indonesia that use Mavam Espresso machine. Wow!! From the selection of single origins to the iconic Australian flat-white, Toby’s Estate Indonesia is ready to serve you, coffee lovers! On that day, they served unlimited coffee for everyone. I tried their Piccolo, and it was like love at first sip. I also enjoyed the Mocha Coffee, Iced Cappuccino, and Pure Orange Juice which all tasted delicious. For the classic espresso drinks, the price range starts from IDR 28K to IDR 50K. If you enjoy brewed coffee, they also have a few methods; Chemex, Syphon, Aeropress, and v60 starts from IDR 65K.

Toby’s Estate Indonesia also offers genuine Australian distinctive breakfast, brunch to dinner menus, with their signature of Avo on Toast, Buttermilk Fried Chicken on Corn Frittata, and Toby’s Signature Ricotta Pancakes.

I can’t tell you much about their food because we didn’t eat much yesterday, but we tried their Kale & Quinoa Salad, and the Patty Melt Burger, both foods were so good! The beef patty was quite thick, tender, but somewhat a bit dry to my taste. I would love to come back for their salad and curious with the Buttermilk Chicken; it looks so crispy from the outside.

So, that’s all a quick preview of Toby’s Estate Indonesia Grand Opening yesterday. Toby’s Estate ensures every cup of Toby’s Estate Coffee delivers the richness, complexity, and character that has been crafted from crop to cup. If you’re coffee enthusiasts, I strongly recommend you to experience their coffee. Again, congrats for the Grand Opening!
