[NEW SPOT] AEON SUSHI Dash & Go for Take Away Sushi

Yippie! Finally, AEON Sushi Dash & Go is getting closer to us who live in Jakarta area. Just a few days ago, I went to their new outlet located on the 1st floor of Setiabudi One Building, South Jakarta. At first, I wasn’t sure it’s AEON Sushi, but I recognize the cute cat icon in their neon board. It was AEON Sushi, and it’s true! Yay! As we all know, AEON Sushi is the first sushi market concept available at AEON Mall BSD City, the first AEON Mall in Indonesia.

AEON was first established in Japan, and here, they opened AEON Sushi that offers authentic, fresh sushi from AEON kitchen. If you ever visit the AEON Sushi at AEON Mall BSD City, you’ll realize that this outlet is smaller. As the name suggests, AEON Sushi launches AEON Sushi Dash & Go, a new quick service that is similar to grab-and-go sushi concept in Japan.

No surprisingly, they only provide a few seats for dining in, because taking out (take away) is the primary method of AEON Sushi Dash & Go. When we walked in, we were tempted with so many boxes of sushi that are waiting to be devoured. There are many variations of sushi, and everything was well priced, ranging from IDR 30K to IDR 60K.

Besides sushi, they also have chuka idako, chuka wakame, hotate, salmon sashimi, and some salad (veggie salad, and fruit salad). Well, of course, we quickly grab one of our favorites, Saori set (IDR 68K), which is also the top-selling sushi set in AEON Sushi. This package consists of a total of 16 sushi from 8 different toppings such as tamago, inari, wakame, corn mayo, tobiko, shrimp aburi, salmon aburi, and salmon with black tobiko. The quality of salmon was good, and the shrimps were left with their tail. We also enjoyed the Salmon Sashimi (IDR 65K), and Salmon Lover set (IDR 55K) very much.

On top of sushi, there are also several options of Onigiri (Tuna Mayo, Salmon Flake, Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Tuna, etc), Bento rice packages and side dishes available at AEON Sushi Dash & Go. I tried one of their recommendations, Bento Set B where I got 2 pcs of Chicken Cordon Bleu, 2 pcs of Chicken Karaage, grapes, and vegetable salad is offered for only IDR 48K/pack. Wow! And, guess what? The chicken karaage was so delicious! When I opened the Bento package, I noticed the fragrant smell of ginger from it. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy on the inside, and lightly crisp on the outside, which I like. For hot food such as bento sets, we can ask them to heat the bento set if we want to

eat in there. Nice! Although the price is very affordable, the quality of the raw fish material used and other ingredients remain the same; good quality, and fresh. So, when it comes to grab-and-go sushi, I would recommend you to try AEON Sushi Dash & Go, especially for sushi lovers and those looking for affordable and quick sushi lunch or dinner around Setiabudi or South Jakarta.
