[SINGAPORE] Luxury and Memorable Stay at Conrad Centennial Singapore

Our stay at the Conrad Centennial Singapore was divine, which is why I want to share my experience with you. Not only voted as one of the top 10 luxury hotels in Singapore, Conrad Centennial Singapore which has just celebrated its 20th anniversary in November 2016, also featured in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame, receiving outstanding traveler reviews and a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence five years in a row. That’s wow! It’s not surprising that the hotel seems to do everything right, including from my staying experience for three days and two nights at the Conrad Centennial Singapore in mid-December 2016.

Located in a very strategic business district in Suntec area with plenty of shopping and eating places, Conrad Centennial Singapore has so many interesting things to offer. We were personally escorted from the Lobby to the Executive Floor for a private check-in area and upgraded to an Executive Floor room with a spectacular view of the Marina and access to the Executive Floor privileges. Yay! The staff is very helpful and extremely friendly, and we were treated great from the moment we arrived.

As you have seen from my Instastories previously, our room which is located on the 25th floor had a fantastic view overlooking Singapore Flyer Ferris Wheel, Esplanade, and Marina Bay, especially at night. And when we got to our room, I found a cute blue Teddy Bear in between the pillow on my bed, welcome notes, a bowl of fruit, and the yellow rubber duck in the bathtub which are provided complimentary to hotel guests at all Conrad hotels worldwide. How sweet! My room was spacious and literally had everything I could ever want; luxury marble bathroom with all the exceptional amenities, huge and comfortable bed with top-quality cotton sheets, 46-inch TV, and home theater system, and a large writing desk. They even offer 15 different pillows on the menu, can you imagine that?

I just found out that as a member of Hilton HHonors, we can plan a trip efficiently, check-in and book a room (from a digital floor plan) in more than 4,500 hotels and resorts available through this Hilton HHonors mobile application (Download from Google Play or the iOS App Store.). Out of curiosity, I quickly install this app on my phone, and that’s where the magical experience begins. I only use my phone to unlock my room using a Digital Key and feel comfortable when leaving my room without a physical key, because I can access the lift on my phone too. I feel a bit weird at first, but it was amazing!

Another highlights of our stay was the benefit on the Executive Floors. We can enjoy everything that’s available in the Executive Lounge located on level 31 throughout the day (open daily from 6:30 to 23:00), starting with a champagne breakfast (6:00 – 10:30), delightful afternoon tea (15:00 – 17:00), all day tea, coffee, and soft drinks till 10pm, and relax in the evening with complimentary hors d’ouevres and canapés (17:30 – 20:00). In addition to that, we also get a complimentary light-pressing for up to 3 items on the day of arrival, complimentary local calls, complimentary use of meeting room for a maximum of 2 hours per day, 20% discount on a la carte spa treatments, and Free WIFI access.

There were not too many options for breakfast in the Executive Lounge, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast with panoramic city views, Executive Lounge is a great place because it’s less crowded than the buffet breakfast at Oscar’s located on the lobby floor. However, we were spoiled for choice at the Oscar’s for breakfast the next day, so we decided to have smoked salmon, omelette, etc.

We also spent time playing around and taking pictures at Conrad Centennial Singapore’s outdoor pool, where we could enjoy the pool view and the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel from the poolside bar. The fitness center was one of the best I have ever seen; a quite spacious home gym with various types of equipment, which is connected to the pool deck.

Last but not least, our lunch at Golden Peony Restaurant at Conrad Centennial Singapore made the perfect end during our stay there. It’s no doubt that Chinese food is a well-loved cuisine, my favorite cuisine of all other cuisines. So, if you’re looking for the best Chinese Food restaurant in Singapore, Golden Peony at Conrad Centennial Singapore is easily one of the best Chinese restaurants to take your family to. Golden Peony is an award-winning Cantonese restaurant which amazingly listed in Singapore Tatler’s Best Restaurants Guide for 2014 and 2015, as well as Wine&Dine Singapore’s Top Restaurants Guide for 2015. Wow! With a warm, elegant, and soothing ambiance, Golden Peony made us feel so comfortable while enjoying Golden Peony Executive Chinese Chef Ku Keung’s Tasting Menu for $100++ SGD per person.

For this tasting menu, they serve the Executive Chinese Chef Ku Keung’s top 5 signature dishes starting from the Fresh Prawn and Sea Jelly with Minced Garlic, Preserved Asparagus, and Steamed Beancurd filled with Prawn Mousse, topped with Scallop and Crab Roe as the appetizer. Followed by Lobster Meat wrapped with sliced Fish and Fish Roe, served with Baby Spinach. As a seafood lover, I really loved it, because this lobster meat was incredibly flavorful and delicious. Not to forget, the Roast London Duck which cooked in two ways, very succulent and luscious with its signature crispy skin and juicy fat, a notable item in the Golden Peony at

Conrad Centennial Singapore. The sauce of the duck also contains the drips when the duck is roasted; it was so good. I just knew that it’s called London Duck because the duck is sourced from Ireland which has a nice layer of fat. With crunchy skin texture on the outside, soft and juicy meat on the inside, a must try when you’re in Singapore!

Another main course that you shouldn’t miss is the Pan-fried King Prawn with Superior Soy Sauce served with Fish Noodle and Baby Cabbage. I never eat fish noodles before, but I assure you it was really good. Not only because of the noodles are made completely of fish, but also no trace of fishy stink at this noodle. And the Chilled Cream of Avocado with Vanilla Ice Cream which served in whole young coconut became a sweet ending that afternoon.

All in all, this is a fantastic hotel! Service was excellent, the lounge access was great, staff are friendly and accommodating, and the room itself was amazing. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and if you can afford it, opt for the Executive King with access to the Executive Lounge. Thank you Conrad Centennial Singapore for a fabulous experience!
