Wohooo! Finally, I managed to visit La Maison Patisserie Medan, the famous Macaron brands coming from Medan which recently opened a branch at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. Yay! Yesterday I decided to go there as I have no idea of where else to go when I’m in Grand Indonesia Mall, but then I remember there’s this new place. La Maison Patisserie Jakarta which is located at Rama Lobby (next to H&M outlet), has a pretty big space but with limited seating area.
When I traveled to Medan a few months ago, I didn’t have a chance to visit their store. But then, I was so happy to find them here in Jakarta. All the beautifully, and brightly-colored macarons greeted us as we walked into their store. La Maison Patisserie Medan offers a wide variety of fresh macarons to choose from; there are so many flavors … oh so many decisions! Just look at the colors, they are too pretty to eat, aren’t they? š
You can buy one macaron for IDR 20K each, but if you buy one package, the price is cheaper. And they split the price depends on the packaging, in which case the price is slightly expensive for the premium box. While for the softboxes, macarons price is ranging from IDR 115K (6 pieces), IDR 220K (12 pieces), IDR 330K (18 pieces), IDR 440K (24 pieces), and IDR 550K (30 pieces). At first, it’s kinda hard for me to choose, but then I decided to bought a box of 6 macarons and started pointing out to the display. From Earl Grey which contains Ceylon tea and refreshing mandarin jam in it, the Pineapple Crumble, Milo Milkshake (filled with thick Milo Chocolate milkshake), Ispahan (housemade sugar-free raspberry jam, lychee ganache insufed with rose water), Salted Popcorn (the best seller, sweet, salty, and buttery popcorn cream), and Thai Tea (my favorite, Thai’s signature black tea with creamy milk and a hint of vanilla).
The macarons were perfection, in terms of texture, and a variety of mouthwatering flavors. The fact that they are crunchy on the outside, yet moist inside, actually made me wants to crave for more. But they were too sweet for my personal preference. However, if you have a sweet tooth and love macarons, you gotta try La Maison Patisserie! Kids will go crazy for this macarons too!
