It wasn’t easy to find this coffee shop, Coffee Aya, which located in Muara Karang (Pluit) neighborhood, but eventually, we made it! Yay! About two days ago, we went to Coffee Aya because I was curious to see what’s inside. It’s a pretty new coffee shop in town, and I can say that this coffee shop is one of the most Instagram-worthy to visit. Inspired by Japanese-influence design aesthetic, Coffee Aya opened this coffee shop in September 2016, where they expose the white walls, wooden tables, complete with minimalist interiors while allowing natural light in from the windows.
It was only a short visit, but we couldn’t stop taking pictures at this place. The combination of calming white, and light wooden furniture create a space that isn’t just cozy, but also pleasing to the eye, and of course, for the camera. There are not many options on the menu, just coffee, non-coffee, and some selection of mini tartlets displayed on the table. So, I ordered a Cappuccino (IDR 37K) and some tartlets. Among the six flavors, I tried the Butterscotch flavors, Pineapple, and Mango Pina Colada (IDR 10K each). They were not only cute, but these tartlets are the best! The tartlet shells were slightly crisp and filled with different tasty filling, and it was hard for me to choose which is which my favorite because I really enjoyed them all!
They were not overly sweet and well paired with my hot Cappuccino. However, I wish they could have more food on the menu, either for brunch or savory snacks in the
afternoon. If you’re looking for a cozy space to meet your friends, do some work, or create a new profile picture for your Instagram account, while enjoying good coffee and a homey ambiance, you should try Aya Coffee Shop in Muara Karang, Pluit (North Jakarta). Thank you for reading! ☺️
