[NEW] Mullie Myfunfoodiary on RCTI for Iron Chef Indonesia

As you can see yesterday, we’re aired on Iron Chef Indonesia 4th Episode on Sunday, April 30, 2017, on RCTI. We feel honored to participate in this great opportunity provided by RCTI, and we want to thank you again, for choosing us to be a Guest Judge for this fine cooking competition. The original “Iron Chef” debuted in Japan in 1993 and is one of the most popular food shows in history which is part of the cooking show and reality TV. As usual, the chairman will introduce the Secret Ingredients challenge, and both chefs were challenged to cook four different dishes within 1 hour. Of course, they have to improvise, and the secret ingredients must be present in each dish. Wow!

The challenger in this episode, MJ Olguera, the Executive Chef of Salt Grill Restaurant, chose the Iron Chef, Chris Salans, among the other chefs to battle with. I’ve met Chef Chris Salans a few times, and he’s a well known Celebrity Chef who also owns the Mozaic Restaurant in Bali, which voted among the 50 Best Restaurant in Asia 2013. And although he is an American born, and French raised, he’s actually very fluent in speaking Bahasa Indonesia, and you know what? He always uses Indonesian spices and maximizes them in all of his dishes. It was a tough competition, but even before the battle begins, I can see that a young and talented Chef, MJ Olguera has no fear to lose, and he’s quite ambitious to win this cooking

competition. As a Guest judge, I was thrilled by their dishes. Not only the stunning presentation, but how they shared the creative process and techniques that transform the secret ingredients into unique, and magical dishes we have never tried before.

In this episode, I was accompanied by two other judges, which is Chef Yono, the legendary Chef who introduced Indonesian specialties to the world level and he also has a restaurant in New York, and Ayushita, the celebrity (a film actress, drama series, and also personal of BBB). So, who came out as the winner in Iron Chef Indonesia 4th episode? For those of you who missed the show, don’t worry. We’ve recorded a video for you when it aired on RCTI yesterday; we hope you enjoy the video and thank you for reading.
