[THAILAND] Santorini Park Cha-Am, Hua-Hin

I never thought that finally, we did it! We rented a car and drove a car from Bangkok to Santorini Park, Cha-Am, Hua Hin (Thailand) [Click here to see our Travel Tips: How to rent a car in Bangkok]. The Santorini Park Cha-Am which was opened in 2012 looks like the real Santorini in Greece. I always wonder whether this place is big or not, but now we’ve been there and now agree with my friends. They said this place is always crowded by tourists; therefore we decided to visit Santorini Park Cha-Am on a weekday (Thursday, June 29, 2017). It’s less crowded than the weekend, yay!

Admission Fee: 150 Baht/person (entrance ticket and one ride ticket included)

.

Santorini Park Cha-Am is apparently just a small theme park, where you can find several attractions, such as the haunted house, sling shot, Ferris wheel, etc. But of course, we need to pay extra for each attraction. However, I don’t know why we have to pay for the entrance fee because this place is very small, and nothing much to do, except to take lots of pictures and wander around in the restaurant, and some shops that provide air conditioner inside. Since this park is an open-air area, very hot and humid, I suggest you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Q: So, is it worth it to visit Santorini Park Cha-Am, Hua Hin?
A: If you never go to this place and don’t have the opportunity to visit the real Santorini in Greece, well, it’s recommended to pay a visit to Santorini Park Cha-Am in Thailand. For at least, once in your life! As you can see from my photos, the walls are dominated by white color, with a dash of contrasting colors, like blue, pink, and green make this park looks so Instagramable! Overall, it’s a great place for OOTD photo lovers!

There’s one interesting cafe among them, named Miffy’s Garden Cafe, so I decided to go inside and have something to eat.

This cafe is quite small, but the minimalist decor and cute rabbit as the theme of their cafe, makes Miffy’s Garden Cafe a pleasant spot for an afternoon hang out while in Santorini Park Cha-Am. Not to mention, the air conditioner was very cold; made us want to stay longer. For the food, we ordered Set Menu C (295 Baht, equal to IDR 118K) which consists of Fluffy Pancake and a choice of hot or cold drink. And because the weather was crazy hot, I chose the Iced Thai Tea from the drink list and ordered Sweet Mango Sticky Rice (185 Baht, equal to IDR 74K) as well.

Set Menu C: Fluffy Pancake + Iced Thai Tea, 295 Baht (equal to IDR 118K)

These fluffy pancakes were enough to satisfy my savory craving that afternoon. The pancakes came with Miffy’s face on it, pretty cute, and it’s almost hard to eat! Ha-ha.. And my favorite part was the sunny side up egg which is beautifully prepared and served with crispy bacon strips, and some fresh vegetables with Goma sauce (sesame seed sauce – Japanese style) on the side.

Sweet Mango Sticky Rice, 185 Baht (equal to IDR 74K)

Even the dessert, the sweet Mango Sticky Rice or commonly known as Khao Niao Mamuang in Thailand, was nicely presented. They cut fresh mangoes to be part of the rabbit’s body, and Miffy’s head was made of the sticky rice, served with a salty-sweet coconut milk on the side. The portion was kinda small, but we still enjoyed it!

Pork Balls & Fish Balls, 65 Baht/portion (equal to IDR 26K)

Noodles with Pork Ball and Sliced Pork, 65 Baht (equal to IDR 26K)

There’s another restaurant which was very crowded at lunch time, so before leaving the Santorini Park, we decided to give it a try. The food is mostly noodles that are served with pork or fish balls. The price is very cheap, and although everything looks pale, the meatballs were delicious, especially the pork balls and when we ate them with the spicy sauce. To add more flavors to the noodle soup, we should add the Thai’s fish sauce which available on the table, and because the pork balls were so good, we ended up ordering one more portion. Ha-ha..

There are some shops selling clothes and souvenirs, but I noticed there are some stores that are still empty as well. Before we left this place, and checked-in to the Amari Hotel in Hua Hin, I bought one of the cute dolls which is stuffed with a blanket in it. It was really nice! I would not know if one of my followers on Instagram didn’t tell me to buy it while in Santorini Park Cha-Am. Now this doll

and the blanket keeps me warm whenever I go to bed, thank you, Michelle, for telling me this good news. And that’s all from me, thank you for reading! Stay tuned for more updates from us. ๐Ÿ™‚
