[THAILAND] Shiba Inu Dogs for Dogs Lover at Inu Cafe, Hua Hin

Geez! I never thought I could have a chance to meet all the Shiba Inu (Japanese dog breeds) at Inu Cafe! This hidden gem is located in Hua Hin (Thailand), but you need a car to get there. Luckily we rented a car from Bangkok to travel to Hua Hin (click here for the #TravelTips on How to Rent a Car in Bangkok), and in this way, we can easily go mobile to Santorini Park, Swiss Sheep Farm, and visited other cool cafes in Hua Hin.

This cafe is located in a quiet private property, right on Naeb Kehardt Road Soi 8. Before we enter this cafe, they asked us to wash hands, and step on the water in front of the gate. I’m not sure why. The staff was friendly, and she can speak English as well. Apparently, this is a family-run cafe by a local, where they use the terrace of the house as a small cafe. There are only a few tables available on the terrace, nothing fancy, but of course, the Shiba-Inu dogs is the main highlight in this cafe. As you can see from our Insta Stories back then, they are so adorable, right?!

This cute Shiba-Inu was so naughty and cute. I can’t remember his name, but he was so curious with my Rabbit bag charm, and always keep an eye on it!

As a small home-based cafe, I was surprised to see how they have a variety of main dishes on the menu, which is mainly spaghetti, and fried rice. Some finger foods are also available on the menu, and we tried one of them which is Taro with melted Mozzarella Cheese (99 Baht) on top. It’s something new for us, and surprisingly, it was delicious! The combination of sweet taro (purple sweet potato) and savory cheese was unique and simply satisfying.

To me, this is definitely a place for all dog lovers! You can chill while enjoying your food and drinks, while accompanied by the adorable Shiba-Inu dogs at Inu Cafe. The fun part was when we could play with them and even feed them! We had to pay an extra 35 Baht (equal to IDR 14K) for the dog food, but that was the first and unforgettable experience for us! Saw the dogs sitting nicely there in front of us, waiting, and it seemed they already know the sequence, ooooh how cute they are! There are 6 Shiba Inu dogs at that time, but they have about 16 dogs in total. The staff and owner who happened to be there invited us to see the Mother of their Shiba Inu dogs.

We also ordered two of their recommended drinks for a special price: only 100 Baht (Normal price 75 Baht for each); Fresh Passion Fruit with Honey and Lime Soda with Watermelon Balls. The presentation was nice, and the drinks were both so refreshing! I like how they use real passion fruit on it, even though it tasted too sour for us! Mom couldn’t stand with the sour, so she asked for more sugar. But I didn’t mind with that, ha-ha.

Overall, the food is reasonably priced, and the whole experience is worth it even though there’s an additional 20 Baht charged on top of our bill to be donated. The dogs are so cute, and well behaved even while we’re eating. If you’re a dog lover too, make sure to visit the Shiba Inu dogs too at Inu Cafe while in Hua Hin, Thailand.
