[KOREA] Line Friends Store & Cafe Biggest Store at Garosugil, Seoul

Do you believe if I say that we were so excited to visit the biggest LINE Friends Cafe and Store among all stores in worldwide, located in Garosugil, Seoul (Korea)? Well, not just because this store is the first flagship store of Line Friends Cafe & Store in Seoul, but they also have a series of adorable characters – Jungle Brown Wanna Be special edition for 2017. I bought a super cute Jungle Brown Dino Wanna Be – Dinosaurs bag charm when I visited their store in Shanghai a few months ago, but I’m still excited to visit the Line Friends Store & Cafe in Seoul (Korea). So far, Line Friends Store & Cafe already has 45 stores around the world, and in Korea itself, they have about 12 stores (without Cafe) and 5 cafes.

I’m actually not a big fan of LINE Apps, because my main chat app is Whatsapp and Kakao Talk. But, you know… It’s hard not to fall in love with all the adorable characters of LINE Friends, from Brown, Cony, Moon, James, Sally, and Leonard. Which one is your favorite characters?

During our trip to Seoul, we visited the LINE Friends Store in Busan, and LINE Friends Store & Cafe in Sinsadong Garosu-gil. We’ve also been to LINE Friends Village in Bangkok (just opened a few months ago in Thailand), and Line Friends Store & Cafe at Middle Hua-hai Road in Shanghai (early October 2017).

At the entrance, a 3.2 meters tall gigantic Brown stands there and give a warm welcome to every guest. Make sure you don’t miss that popular selfie pose with Brown when you visit this store in Garosugil, Seoul. Expect a short queue with many people who want to take a picture with the gigantic Brown at the entrance.

This store is considered the largest among all LINE Friends stores worldwide, and consists of 3 floors, with a small outdoor area featuring Fox Brown, and Dino Brown Wanna Be in Jungle Brown. The first floor contains mainly toys and accessories, and the second floor features FRIENDS collaborations with many brands (Lamy, Swarovski, etc.), so you might spend hours in this area exploring all the cute little things with their LINE characters. While on the basement level, there’s LINE Cafe that offers a variety of Brown, Sally, and Cony desserts and drinks, from the macarons, lattes, cookies, etc.

We were lucky to make our 2nd trip to Seoul in October 2017 during the fall, and as it’s very close to Christmas time, we found some special menus at LINE Cafe to welcome the Christmas. We tried Chocolate Santa Brown, and Sally Mint cupcake for 6,500 Won (equal to IDR 78K) each, but I know I put high expectation on a theme-cafe like this. Both cupcakes were too sweet, with a bunch of sugar on top; kids might like it, but not for adults.

I’m not suggesting you try their cupcake, but if you’re curious, you can give it a try. On my next visit, I’d better order drinks at LINE Cafe because the Passion Matcha drink that we’ve tried in LINE Friends Cafe Shanghai tasted really nice. So, if you’re a big fan of LINE Friends, do not miss your trip to LINE Friends Store & Cafe in Garosu-gil, Seoul (Korea), especially if you want to bring home some of Line’s merchandise, this is one of the best places to get! Stay tuned, I will share Top Places To Go in Seoul (Korea), coming up soon! Thank you for reading!
