[SINGAPORE] Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa

Although it was just a short trip, our trip to Singapore left an unforgettable experience (again), mainly because, in this visit, we stayed in Equarius Hotel, Sentosa. As you can see from my Instastory last week, we spent a few days at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore. Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has been known as Asia’s ultimate lifestyle destination resort, located on Singapore’s resort island of Sentosa. We often come to the Universal Studios theme park with families and friends, and I’m sure you’ve been there too. But not many people aware of what RWS can offer, because this is an integrated resort, we can reach one place to another just by walking.

Not only the theme park, but we can also find world-class performances, celebrity restaurants, lots of great attractions from Universal Studios Singapore to S.E.A Aquarium to Adventure Cove Waterpark. And from so many hotels in Sentosa, we stayed at the Equarius Hotel which is conveniently close to all tourist attractions. As soon as we enter the Equarius Hotel, the modern and sleek lobby gives us a sense of serenity in the midst of hectic activities in Singapore. The lobby ceilings were high, with contemporary furnishings and pastels colors that dominate the design, and the waterfall video attached created a peaceful atmosphere and made us want to stay longer.

That feeling of calm is continued throughout this contemporary hotel, which has airy rooms and all come with balconies. Our spacious deluxe room features a terrace with panoramic views of the cable car at Sentosa Island and the beautiful hotel lap pool. Not to mention, besides the comfy big bed, the spacious bathroom with see-through glass panel is also my favorite part of this room. Clad in marble settings with double vanity areas, a bathtub, separate shower, and a hidden TV, complete with luxurious in-room amenities and a comprehensive Room Service gave a memorable stay experience.

In addition to the marvelous room and its facilities, Singapore’s largest spa, ESPA, is on its doorstep. ESPA is a spa brand from London and has received multiple international awards like the Spa Finder 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, 2012 AsiaSpa Awards and 2013 World Luxury Spa Awards to local ones presented by Singapore Harper’s Bazaar and Women’s Week. ESPA provides luxury treatment in 10,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, a huge gym, 24 treatment rooms, an outdoor onsen-style pool and Singapore’s only Turkish Hamman. We didn’t have a chance to experience the spa or gym because we have a tight schedule during our stay, but if you’re looking for a place to refresh your body and soul, ESPA is the place. This place is so peaceful with beautiful surroundings.

Our room package includes with daily buffet breakfast at the only restaurant available in this hotel, which is The Forest, a Chinese fine dining restaurant, opened by Chef Sam Leong together with RWS. The buffet breakfast starts very early at 7 am and ends at 10.30am. No wonder if they named it as the forest because the decor above the restaurant is made like in the forest, so the ambiance of the restaurant made us feel like we’re eating under trees, kewl! But although the breakfast buffet was very limited, we enjoyed the breakfast with the view of the side garden.

Located in a secluded area, this may be a problem for the first timer to Equarius Hotel, but there’s a very convenient free shuttle service to get around in Sentosa. Set in a gorgeous place with a gorgeous view, Equarius Hotel becomes an ideal gateway for nature lovers, families, couples, or I would say; it suits everyone! All in all, it was a pleasure to stay here.
