[NEW] Romantic Night with Wagyu Striploin at the VIEW, Fairmont Hotel

Love is in the air, can you feel it? If you plan on a perfect date to celebrate Valentine’s day, the VIEW Restaurant & Bar at Fairmont Hotel should be the place! Yeah, I know Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, but it’s not too late to book your table now after you finish reading this post. Located on the 22nd Floor of the luxurious hotel, Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, the dining room at VIEW Restaurant & Bar an elegant and romantic atmosphere in warm light with stylish decor and a breathtaking view of Jakarta’s city with glittering lights that glow beautifully at night. The seating area available is not much, but still, I loved the vibe, that’s why I strongly advise you to book a table before you visit The VIEW.

The VIEW Restaurant & Bar serves modern European cuisine with Asian influences using the best of locally sourced produce, and plenty of a la carte selection will please your taste buds. While waiting and enjoying the city view, the waiter came and served the complimentary bread to our table. The bread was served warm and tasted really nice when eaten with the butter. For appetizers, we started with three different amuse-bouchée on the day: Potato Salad which is served with small potato chips, Mushroom Oreo with black truffle, and crispy Squid Ink Crackers that is stuffed with fresh Jakarta Salad. Not only pleasing to the eye, but all of them tasted exceptional.

Australian Wagyu Striploin, IDR 480K++

As a fan of quality beef, I absolutely want everything about Australian Beef. So, for the main course, we tried one of their popular dishes, Australian Wagyu Striploin (IDR 480K++). At first, the beef cut looks small, but it turned out the meat was quite thick and it was very filling. The Australian Wagyu Striploin was perfectly cooked as we expected, melts in your mouth, and leaves a buttery taste that lingers. The sauce which made of beef juice, sake, and yuzu, complement the meat; it was so tasty! Side dishes were also delicious, especially the king oyster mushrooms. I highly recommend you to try the Australian Wagyu Striploin when you visit VIEW Restaurant & Bar! Don’t worry, not only for Valentine’s but this menu is available all year long, enjoy!

Last but not least, we ended our dinner with the White Festive, which was specially made by Chef Hans Christian. As represented in its name, everything looks so white, and Chef Hans made it very creative! The White Festive consisted of dehydrated milk foam, milk snow, dulche, and topped with yogurt sorbet. Sweet, and crunchy, oh so yummy! They even gave us Petite Four Chocolate as complimentary, thank you!

Overall, We were impressed with all the dishes served, making our evenings even more special. It is nice to know that the chef also comes round the tables and checks if everything is ok. Not only the food, but the atmosphere at VIEW Restaurant and Bar is perfect for couples who are looking forward to spending some quality time with each other. Happy Valentine’s Day all, and thank you for reading!
