[NEW] Nomz Kitchen & Pastry Exciting New Dishes

No restaurant does food like Nomz Kitchen and Pastry, whether it’s western fusion food, cakes, and a plate of sweet and savory croissants for snacks time. Being in a modern, minimalist, chic, and romantic atmosphere, Nomz Jakarta is still a favorite place and an oasis for young people who crave for modern comfort food in the J-town neighborhood. Just recently, they launched a lot of new dishes that are worth checking out, so don’t expect to find boring egg dishes here. Yay!

New appetizers like Crumbed Escargot (IDR 85K), From Hainan (poached chicken breast with prawn chili oil, IDR 70K), Neighbor Chili Crab (crispy soft shell crab paired with chili crab sauce, IDR 85K), Wagyu Sirloin MB 4-6 Steak (IDR 160K), as well as Gulai Fish Head (IDR 80K), Squid Ink Pasta (IDR 125K), Cod Fish with Edamame (IDR 145K) and Beef Satay with Peanut sauce (IDR 65K) are on the menu. If you are a fried snack lover, the Potato “Candu” (IDR 55K) and Porky Bites is a must. Thinly sliced potato with mild and simple seasoning, it’s simply addictive! While the fried pork belly bites were very crispy, served with garlic, chili, shallots, and salt & pepper seasoning, we can hear the crackling sound as we bite them. The fried escargot tasted nice, but we still prefer the classic escargot which usually comes with a garlic butter sauce at French restaurants.

Although most of the new dishes are fusion style, it’s clear that Chef Ferry and his team are still interested in simplicity. And since all the innovative new dishes are meant for sharing, you and your friends can get a bunch of different items to share at Nomz Jakarta. Among all the new dishes, Happy Meal (roasted pork belly with crispy skin, IDR 150K) was a guilty pleasure not to be missed. Don’t ignore the Nam Jim sauce on the table, it’s so good; best eaten with homemade Kimchi (add-on for IDR 40K), or Jasmine Rice (add-on for IDR 25K). The Neighbor Chili Crab (battered soft shell crab, IDR 85K) was kinda rare, but they seemed to know exactly what they’re doing, and we really enjoyed the chili crab sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all, but it tasted just right!

Something as simple as Beef Katsu (IDR 75K), Prawn Gambas (IDR 85K), Prawn and Pillow Gnoochi (IDR 120K), Crumbed Pork Ribs (110K), each one of them satisfied our taste buds. If you’re looking for brunch staples or lunch/dinner spots with friends, Nomz Jakarta is the place to go. The food is always fresh and warm, and you can always find delicious croissants, cakes, not to mention delicious coffee. Thank you for reading!
