[NEW] Tucano’s Churrascaria – Brazilian BBQ & Buffet Jakarta

Craving for AYCE Barbecue (all you can eat BBQ), but also want to experience a Brazilian barbecue tradition? Why not try Tucano’s Churrascaria, a Brazilian BBQ, and Buffet which is still a new restaurant in Jakarta? Located inside Pavilion Retail Arcade building complex, Tucano’s Jakarta brings the festive of big meat with authentic Brazilian style BBQ Churrasco (shoe-HAS- ko) concept. We loved the cozy, minimalist, yet sporty atmosphere in this place, and the host at the front was very kind; she explained the whole process because she knew that we’re the first-timers. Ha-ha…

In the middle of the dining room, there’s a market table where everything is provided for the buffet, from all sort of charcuterie, fruits, salads, sauces, and soups. Since this is included in AYCE, we can grab whatever side dishes we want, yay! But I suggest you skip this area first, save your stomach for the best part because Tucano’s Jakarta provides an endless supply of grilled meat cuts directly to your table. This way you can truly enjoy the meat before you get full of side dishes.

What you need to do, just put the colorful magnet above the big T sign on your table. The Green magnet means the meat will keep coming! The Red magnet means stop! And the Yellow magnet means you want the Grilled Pineapple. This magnet is like a cue for the waiters to come with the huge meat skewers, and slicing meat right onto our plate as requested. They usually called this unique serving style as “Espito corrido”, scroll down to see the picture, interesting right?!

At Tucano’s Jakarta, the Brazillian Churrasco package is available in two meat selections, from Regular Meat Only starts from IDR 258K++/pax and for Premium Wagyu meat at IDR 548K++/pax. Just recently, they launched a new menu, and we chose this new package for lunch: Black Angus Churrasco All You Can Eat for IDR 458K++/pax (include Churrasco, Buffet, and Free Flow Drinks – 120 minutes).

During Ramadhan, all customers can get FREE TAJIL of the day starts from 5.30pm.

For Black Angus Churrasco Course, we can enjoy unlimited Black Angus steak, from Alcatra (Top Sirloin cut), Picanha (Prime Sirloin cut), Garlic Steak, and Grilled Pineapple. What excites us was the meat has a rich beef taste and is naturally marbled because they only use the grass-fed Australian Beef for this package. No wonder the juices kept falling off the meat on the skewers, and we can taste its tenderness of this Australian Black Angus. We started with the Garlic Steak, where the Australian Black Angus Beef is fully marinated with garlic. It smelled good and full of flavor but slightly salty to my personal taste.

Amongst every meat, we asked them to serve the Grilled Pineapple which turned out to be my favorite at Tucano’s Jakarta. The pineapple was simply grilled and came with cinnamon powder on it. It tasted so delicious and good to neutralize our palate before we eat different meat.

Alcatra Steak
There’s an open kitchen where you can see a variety of slow-roasted meat rotisserie-style over charcoal to lock in the juiciness and flavor. By the way Brazilians grilled the meat, the Alcatra steak (top sirloin cut) from the Australian Black Angus Beef became a whole new slice of sirloin. The smell of smoke on the meat, with the right amount of seasoning, and its tenderness, it tasted amazing!

Picanha Steak
Oh my gosh, so much meat because the meat kept coming and coming. And ends with the very best meat, Picanha; hands-down to this prime sirloin cut from this Australian Black Angus Beef. The meat was really juicy, tender, and with some fat on, the Picanha steak is a must for anyone who wants to experience the Brazilian barbecue tradition.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience that made our bellies satisfied. The Picanha was our top favorite although all of the meats are really juicy and tasty. As for the side dishes, we enjoyed everything we sampled from the bar, but what is worth getting was the garlic bread and Brazillian Soup. The servers were very attentive, Tucano’s Churrascaria – All You Can Eat Brazilian BBQ and Buffet definitely the place to go if you’re a meat lover who want unlimited meats and appetizers.
