After more than a month of renovations, finally Canteen Pacific Place<\/strong> is back with a bigger and better space since the mid of May 2014. Canteen Pacific Place<\/strong> is a good restaurant located on the 4th Floor of Pacific Place Mall. The atmosphere is nice as it’s mostly decorated with dark brown ambiance, red bricks, wood tables, lots of books in the bookshelf, and direct access to the Aksara book store. This restaurant accommodates everyone, and the capacity has increased from 80 people to 132 people after the renovations. Thanks to the newly created window in the extended area, the natural sunlight coming through it makes the ambience becomes more alive than before. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The usual hot caffe<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> latte with sweet Italian syrups added, like Hazelnut the one that I had that day. The aroma and sweet taste from Hazelnut combined with smooth, creamy steamed milk, and velvety foam.<\/p>\n

Peach Iced Tea is always my favorite choice of flavored Iced Tea. It tastes nice with a mild peach flavor. A perfect companion during the summer season.<\/p>\n

Nachos with Jalapenos and Chili<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Con Carne, IDR 65K<\/strong><\/p>\n

I loved nachos and enjoyed this one. Crispy corn chips covered with melted cheese served with slices of Jalapenos and Chili Con Carne. The Chili Con Carne which made of ground beef, paprika and cinnamon powder is so tasty and addicting. Recommended!<\/p>\n

CFC Canteen Fried Chicken Wings with Sriracha Dip, IDR 50K<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is probably one of the best wings I’ve ever had. The chicken wings were seasoned with some spices; that’s why the wings have a crispy skin and so tasty even without the dipping sauce. However, the rich, spicy and tangy flavors from the Sriracha dip sauce (the famous Thai hot sauce) makes me addicted and wanting more. Recommended!<\/p>\n

A tasty, light, fresh, and a little bit spicy al dente pasta with a combination of rocket leaves, cherry tomatoes, perfectly cooked prawn and basil. Love it!<\/p>\n

Pork Chop with Onion compote, Apple, Grilled Baby Romaine Lettuce & Baby Potatoes, IDR 135K<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pork chop is something that you don’t want to miss when you’re having lunch or dinner at Canteen<\/strong>. It is perfectly seasoned, juicy, tender and very tasty. The onion compote punches up the pork chop’s flavor. They even paired it with apple, grilled baby romaine lettuce and baby potatoes. A great combination of sweet and savory dish, yes, we all loved it! Must try!<\/p>\n

BBQ Chicken with Grilled Corn and Baked Potato, IDR 95K<\/strong><\/p>\n

I also loved the tenderness and flavor of this BBQ Chicken. Best eaten that way without the BBQ sauce, which served on the side, because the BBQ sauce was too sweet for me. It is served with grilled corn and baked potato, too.<\/p>\n

Citrus Tart with Italian Meringue and Basil Ice Cream

I still can enjoy the citrusy goodness of the tart with Italian Meringue though the tart has a very hard texture. The Basil Ice Cream tastes a little bit weird for me, but seems it’s just right for the others.<\/p>\n

If you’re a chocolate lovers, don’t forget to order Chocolate Platter at Canteen. This delightful set of melt-in-your-mouth Dark Chocolate Pie, White Chocolate Pannacotta and Dark Chocolate Mousse will surely tantalize your taste buds. Recommended!<\/p>\n
