On the 10th day of our holiday in Japan, I’ve set up a schedule to have lunch at Hyoki Restaurant, located in Nishiazabu, Roppongi area, Tokyo. It was not hard to find this restaurant, even without an internet connection in our mobile phones. While we’re still in our hotel room that has a WIFI connection, we’ve prepared a screenshot of the map location of the restaurant that we saw from google maps. To reach HYOKI Restaurant, simply ride TOEI Ooedo Line using the PASMO / SUICA card for the train (—> check out our Transportation Travel Tips <—) and get off at Roppongi Station, take exit 4B. Then easily follow the screenshot map, take a short walk about ten minutes, and here we are!

As I mentioned earlier in my complete Backpacking Itinerary 2 Weeks in Japan, there are lots of Japanese Restaurants which offer a great LUNCH SET with an affordable price compare to dinner menu. Hyoki is one of them! Hyoki Restaurant offers Japanese traditional architecture design where all the seating is in private Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring. So we had to take off our shoes and put into small lockers that provided in the front area. Pssst, as usual.. Japanese Tea (Hot or Cold Ocha) or Mineral water is AVAILABLE FOR FREE in many restaurants in Japan

All the waiters here are mostly pretty young woman dressed in a traditional Kimono with their traditional hospitality. Most of them cannot speak English, and they don’t even have an English menu. My husband finds a little bit hard to read the Kanji word on the menu; he can only read some of them. Lucky there was one of the young ladies who can speak a little bit of English; she helped us, and we finally ordered two different lunch sets.

There was this funny conversation between us and this young lady, because she understands and can speak a little of English, while my husband understands and can speak a little of Japanese. Click PLAY Button to see the Video from our YouTube Channel. The Jazz rhythm playing at the restaurant is so soothing and pleasant to hear.
