Potato Head Jakarta<\/strong> is celebrating American comfort food by creating a new menu promotion “Smoke It Up Barbeque<\/strong>” dishes that available until the end of October 2014<\/strong>. We went to Potato Head Pacific Place<\/strong> about two weeks ago to try some of their new menus.\u00a0The dining area is separated into two sections, smoking and non-smoking room – indoor and outdoor room. It was my first time being there, but we both fell in love with the atmosphere, especially in the outdoor area. Funky, modern, and comfortable atmosphere makes everyone would love to spend time with friends or maybe with someone special here. The low lighting effects make the ambience even more romantic at night, though it may be too dark for you to read the menu!<\/p>\n

Together, Justin Mu<\/strong> and Zachary Nice<\/strong> (California and Texas natives) collaborated to present a special menu, such as various American family recipes, where both of them known for made-from-scratch sauces and rubs. Red Alley Cocktail, IDR 120K<\/strong><\/pre>\n

So here comes some cocktails to match with our food. Jim Beam White Whiskey, apricot liqueur, fresh lime juice syrup and egg white served on the rocks.<\/p>\n

Bourbon Darjeeling Martini, IDR 120K<\/strong><\/pre>\n

Jim Beam White Bourbon Whiskey mixed with fresh lemon juice, refreshing black tea and brown sugar. Taste a bit sour than the one above, yet still refreshing!<\/p>\n

Chicken Noodle Soup, IDR 90K<\/strong><\/pre>\n

Something light before we start our big meal, Chicken Noodle soup that made with chicken broth, fresh organic vegetables, pasta and house’s barrel-smoked chicken. Noodle here means the ribbon-shaped pasta \u200b\u200bfresh made by them, tasted good and became a good warming before the main course.<\/p>\n

Pulled Pork Sliders, IDR 115K - Non Halal<\/strong><\/pre>\n

Two sliders-sized sandwiches with slow smoked pork shoulder, dressed in a Georgian style, tomato sauce with coleslaw and served with scrumptious house fries. We loved the kick of smoky BBQ rub made by them; succulent smoked pork, and it was one of our favorites!<\/p>\n

Smoked Chicken, IDR 165K<\/strong><\/pre>\n

For the main course, Smoked Chicken is a good option! It served with a delicious tangy Alabama sauce. The chicken has a very nice smoky aroma, was a bit salty for me but<\/span><\/span> the meat tasted so juicy and tender. Their special secret rub made it worthy and enjoyable to eat.<\/p>\n

Beef Brisket, IDR 320K<\/strong><\/pre>\n

This Beef Brisket may look unappealing from the outside, but when I took a bite, I was immediately addicted. Slow smoked beef brisket for over 14 hours with a mixture of special house spice rub made a melt-in-the-mouth effect on the meat. It was delicious, very flavorful, tender and juicy! The coleslaw and potato wedges served along the side complements the meal. It was one of the best beef I’ve ever eaten so far.<\/p>\n
