When you’re around Seminyak (Bali) and look for a good breakfast, brunch, or coffee, I suggest you to visit a new hangout place called The Fat Turtle which just opened two weeks ago, on November 28, 2014. The Fat Turtle is a new cafe located right next to the Deus Ex Machina. I know this place from the Bali Foodies IG account, thanks to them! Yay! At first we had a little trouble finding this place because the signboard is too small and not clearly seen. By the time we felt we got lost and wanted to go back to the other way, I accidentally see the writing of The Fat Turtle on their glass window. Oh, thank God! Finally, here we are! You can easily find The Fat Turtle by looking at below pictures; The Fat Turtle located in between W Hotel Bali (W Retreat & Spa Seminyak) and before Potato Head Seminyak, Bali.

Although the cafe isn’t big, but the industrial concept and the turtle murals on the wall make the atmosphere become homey and comfortable for everyone to visit. Not only industrial look, but they also use of second-hand goods on the furniture to create a vintage look. Used sacks of coffee used as a sofa cover, and old sewing tables are used as a dining table at this place. I’m pretty sure, the sofa on below image will soon be everyone’s favorite spot to take pictures. Just like what I did, perhaps? 😀

Cafe Latte, IDR 23K

The Fat Turtle specializes to serve brunch and coffee. We tried their cafe latte that morning. All the coffee is using house blend Sumatra coffee with a pretty low bitter taste. This one has a fine aroma comes from the coffee with a nice latte art on it. Love it!
