So I went to Fat Chow<\/strong> newest branch in Bali<\/strong>, called Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong>, located in Uluwatu<\/strong>, Jimbaran<\/strong>, Bali.<\/strong> I heard from the waitress, that Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong> has been opened since three weeks ago, at the end of November 2014. So it’s pretty new; a different spot, nicer and bigger space rather than the first outlet in Kuta<\/strong>, Bali<\/strong>. It’s quite far from our hotel, but we left this restaurant with a very happy after we dine in at this restaurant. At first we wanted to visit this place in the morning, but our Balifoodies friend, told us to pay a visit at night because the ambiance is lovely at night. I couldn’t agree more; it’s so lovely!!

Although the place is not big, but the minimalist decorations and the yellow lighting make this place even more comfortable with a city light view from above the hill. Unique, vintage, and elegant interior blends together where they mostly use the wooden table, wooden chair, rustic walls, makes everyone feel like home. The ambiance is pretty romantic too!

Fat Chow<\/strong> has a wide variety of drinks such as cocktails, tequila, liqueur, house wine (red or white wine option), and even coffee. But since we wanted something light to accompany our dinner, we ordered an Ice Lemon Grass Tea<\/strong>; light sweetened drink made of fresh lemongrass that has an aromatic lemony flavor. We also had the Hot Ocha<\/strong> served in a lovely pot.<\/p>\n

I heard that Akira Pepper Beef is their signature dish, so we ordered this for dinner. Asian-pepper glazed beef served with sauteed shimeji, potato wedges and wasabi mayo on the side. The beef meat tasted so juicy and tender, the side dishes were also tasty and really good, complementing each other very well! So delicious!<\/p>\n

Hainan Chicken Rice, IDR 67K<\/strong>\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n

Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong> added some new menus, which aren’t available at Fat Chow Kuta<\/strong>. One of them is the Hainan Chicken Rice that took my attention on the list menu. It was interesting because the Hainan Chicken Rice turned out to be so delicious, just like what we usually had in our favorite Chinese food restaurant in Jakarta. This dish was uniquely presented that comes with a basket container. There were two types of chicken inside the container, roasted chicken that tasted sweeter and steamed chicken with a softer flavor. Not to forget, the savory broth was also tasty! The Hainan chicken rice was so fragrant and also comes with chili sauce, ginger paste, and dark soy sauce, a perfect condiment for the chicken rice.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure where else to find a place with good Hainan Chicken Rice<\/strong> for lunch or dinner in Bali<\/strong>, but I personally recommend you to visit Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong> if you’re planning to visit Bali<\/strong>. The Akira Pepper Beef<\/strong> is also a must-try dish! Lots of Asian food you can find at Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong>, such as the popular Vietnamese Sandwich (Banh-Mi), Nasi Lemak, Pad Thai, Mekong Roll, Chiang Mai Beef Salad, Tom Yum Goong, Laksa, etc. Overall, we felt happy with all the food and the drinks above. The cozy ambiance, friendly and attentive staffs, plus an affordable price compared to other similar places (only 10% tax and without additional 5.5% service charges<\/span> at the moment<\/strong><\/span>), makes Fat Chow Temple Hill<\/strong> is a must visit<\/strong> the Asian Food Restaurant in Bali<\/strong>. Price for food ranging from IDR 40K to 139K, while for drinks ranging from IDR 12K.
