ng<\/span><\/span><\/span> JakrtWe recently visited a new place to hang out named Gauden<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Cafe and Bar<\/strong>, which is located in Lippo Mall Puri<\/strong>, the newest and happening mall in West Jakarta<\/strong>. We had often visited this mall, but never had a chance to stop by to Gauden<\/strong>. The heavy rains and flooding that occurred in most parts of the city made us stay at home for two days and felt a bit bored. Luckily, the sun was shining bright after lunch time, so we decided to enjoy a relaxing time while looking for inspiration at Gauden<\/strong>, which is nearby to our home. After two months since its opening, we finally had a chance to visit Gauden<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Cafe and Bar<\/strong>. Yay<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

To be able to access this cafe, we have to get out of the main lobby because the entrance is located just outside the lobby. From the front side of the mall we can see the signboard bearing the name of the cafe, Gauden<\/strong>. Although this place is not big, the atmosphere is quite comfortable. And since the place is pretty new, so it was not crowded, quiet, and cozy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gauden<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Cafe and Bar<\/strong> serves only a few selections of food, ranging from appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, desserts, and cakes. As for the drinks, they offer fresh juices, healthy juices, smoothies, soda, tea, coffee, chocolate drinks and mocktails<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> as well.<\/p>\n

Chili Con Carne, IDR 27K<\/strong>\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n
I did not come here for lunch, so I just ordered a light snack to accompany my coffee time in this cafe. The selections of appetizer are not much, so I ordered the Chili con Carne, which is different from the general appetizers that I usually find at many cafes in Jakarta. Crispy-skinned grilled potato, cut in half, and each covered with gooey melted cheese and classic meaty chili con carne. Although it wasn’t spicy at all, it was tasty, warm and comforting because it was cold in the rainy season like nowadays.<\/p>\n

Hazelnut Latte, IDR 28K + Banana Nutella Mille Crepe, IDR 38K<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n
Among the selection of desserts and cakes on the menu, they offered me something new, such as the Banana Nutella Mille Crepe, homemade by Lareia Cakerie. Stacks of paper-thin French crepes layered between slices of fresh banana and hazelnut pastry cream and covered with finger-licking Nutella spread. It was absolutely the best Mille Crepe I’ve ever tasted, very light, not too sweet, and perfectly paired with the Hazelnut Latte that I ordered. Perfection!<\/p>\n

Strawberry Royal Creme - complimentary<\/strong><\/pre>\n
Before we finished our meal, there was a lovely girl who came to our table and asked if we wanted to try something else as well, which is also new and homemade by Lareia Cakerie. The Strawberry Royal Creme also tasted very light, made of strawberries and vanilla flavored cream, topped with fresh strawberries. It also had a very light texture, lighter than pannacotta<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, yet soft like a pudding.<\/p>\n

This beautiful girl was apparently the owner of the cafe, and her name is Grace. She is very friendly and always come to each table to get feedback from customers about her food and drink. Thank you, Grace, for the delicious Strawberry Creme! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Overall from my experience, we loved the ambiance, including all meals and drinks that we’ve tried above. All food and drinks come at a reasonable price, ranging from IDR 27K until IDR 55K for appetizers, soups, salads, desserts, and cakes, while for main courses starts from IDR 39K until IDR 125K. If you’re around West Jakarta, I will recommend you to visit Gauden<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Cafe and Bar<\/strong>. It’s a nice place to hang out with friends, and can be a casual meeting place with your business relatives.<\/p>\n
