Hey, dessert lovers, rejoice! I have a good news for you! A new dessert cafe spotted at Gandaria City named Bing Go Korean Dessert! Bing Go is newly opened last Friday (a week ago), but they already have many Korean customers when I was there. Apparently they replaced the previous store named Kaffein, located right next to Oh La La Cafe on the Upper Ground Floor, Mainstreet Dining area. Bing Go offers various traditional Korean desserts, usually known as Bing Su that consists of snow ice with a variety of sweet toppings. The place is cozy and designed with minimalist elements and diners can choose to sit in the indoor area with comfortable sofas available, or outdoor area for smokers.

Similar to other shaved ice desserts, Bing Go fills each dessert bowl with plentiful of snow ice and sweetened condensed milk in the bottom part of each bowl. And the white crystal flakes in each bowl are actually frozen milk that is present in the form of powdery snow, just like snow ice! That’s why it created a creamier and sweeter aftertaste to the overall flavor. With the melt-in-your-mouth texture, not only refreshing and delicious, but it’s also fun to eat! The best way to eat Bing Go dessert is to spoon the snow and toppings together. Remember not to mix it up, so you can feel the snow texture!

Injeolmi Bing Go, IDR 43K (small) / IDR 52K (big)

In Korea, most desserts have this Injeolmi; a soft rice cake generously coated in sweet bean powder. The delicate sweetness of the condensed milk paired with the crunch of almond flakes completed the experience. Simple appearance, but it was really good!

Cheese Bing Go, IDR 67K (small) / IDR 84K (big)

Cheese Bing Go was also impressive! A bowl of milky snow served with lots of bite-sized pieces of cheesecake, chopped almond nuts, drizzled with cranberry sauce and finally topped with vanilla ice cream! Surprisingly, there were lots of cheesecakes hidden beneath the snow ice as well. It all made a heavenly combination between the savory cheesecake with the sweetness of condensed milk.

Mango Bing Go, IDR 65K (small) / IDR 81K (big)

For a dose of mango madness, you should try the Mango Bing Go. Although the mangoes have been frozen beforehand, we still enjoyed it. Moreover, I found many mango chunks in the snow ice, topped with massive mango chunks outside and finished with a swirl of whipped cream and mango sauce!

Sweet Potato and Cheese Toast, IDR 48K

Besides Snow Ice desserts, Bing Go other’s specialty menu is some toasted bread. Injeolmi Toast is one of their signature side dishes, but I decided to try the Sweet Potato and Cheese Toast. Delicious toast bread with a layer of cheese in between, topped with sweet additions such as sweet potato paste, honey, and completed with a crunchy sensation from chopped almond nuts. Good for an afternoon snacks with friends or colleagues.

Hallabong Ade, IDR 32K

For drinks, a variety of tea, coffee, ade, and smoothies are offered. We tried the Hallabong Ade that made from a combination of soda water and fresh orange fruit from Jeju Island. It was simply refreshing!

Overall from our experience, Bing Go left us wanting more its creamy ‘snowflakes’ and delicious toppings, especially the Injeolmi, Mango, and Cheese Bing Go, our most favorite dessert among the rest. We were satisfied and left the dessert cafe with a happy tummy! If you are a fan of Korean Bingsu, you must definitely check out Bing Go Korean Dessert Cafe at Gandaria City.
