Yes, what I mean is Socieaty<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Restaurant,<\/strong> which is located in the prestigious Plaza Indonesia<\/strong>, Central Jakarta<\/strong>. I know that maybe some of you already went there to try some of the dishes, and here I would like to share with you about my dinner experience at Socieaty<\/strong>. Socieaty<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Restaurant<\/strong> is the latest movement<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> by the vanguard of Singapore<\/strong>‘s dining scene, where diners can explore three different cuisines in one place together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All your favorite dishes from the three core brands of Les Amis Group<\/strong>, such as the Italian Trattoria “La Strada”<\/strong>, French eatery “Bistro Du Vin”<\/strong>, Spanish-themed “La Taperia”<\/strong> and dainty bakery “Tarte<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> by Cheryl Koh”<\/strong>, sitting in one place, in Socieaty Plaza Indonesia<\/strong>. Kewl<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>!<\/em> Located between Chandara<\/strong> and Bistro Baron<\/strong><\/a> in Plaza Indonesia<\/strong>, Socieaty<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> finally opened its place to the public on 21 September, 2015<\/strong>, with a commitment to deliver quality in food, service and value. The minimalist industrial looks inside the restaurant supported with low lights and modern elements combined with wood detailing succeeded in creating<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> a cozy and inviting ambiance for everyone. <\/span><\/p>\n

We have tried so many good food that night together with some blogger friends and most of the food was either their signature dishes or the favorite dishes. Started from the appetizer Spicy Chicken Quesadilla (IDR 148K)<\/strong> which was marinated with Sriracha and Tomato Sauce, Portobello Pollo (IDR 105K)<\/strong> a delicious combination of breaded Portobello mushroom with chicken in a red wine stew, and Fried Baby Squid (IDR 95K)<\/strong>. The bell pepper, pineapple, onion, and mozzarella brighten up the Quesadillas<\/strong> even though it was pretty average and wasn’t too spicy for me. Portobello Pollo<\/strong>, which is a classic Italian dish, will surely please all mushroom lovers out there! While the Fried Black Squid (every table had 1 of this at La Taperia, Singapore)<\/strong> seemed a bit weird at first, but we instantly addicted to it since the first bite. These black ink battered baby squid were light, deep in black color, crisp, tasty and served with aioli. A must try!

Portobello Pollo – Spicy Chicken Quesadilla – Half Roasted Chicken<\/p><\/div>\n

For the main course, we tried Half Roasted Chicken (IDR 128K)<\/strong> and Duck Leg Confit (IDR 195K)<\/strong>. The pan roasted<\/span><\/span> chicken was perfectly cooked and served with tender potato and garlic fine bean. The fragrant aroma of Asian Spices from<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> this roasted chicken was very inviting. Beautifully succulent meat, juicy, and crispy skin made this chicken is worth a try if you visit Socieaty<\/strong>. Not to forget, the Duck Leg Confit<\/strong> (a signature dish at Bistro du Vin, Singapore)<\/strong> easily became our favorite too. The duck was crispy, and tender, served over a bed of Pommery mustard mashed potato. I really liked this mashed potatoes because the texture was so smooth, tasty and creamy, unlike the common mashed potato I’ve ever eaten in several restaurants in Jakarta. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While from the Pasta section, we tried Truffle Carbonara (IDR 228K)<\/strong> and Aglio Olio (IDR 65K)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Regardless of how expensive this Truffle Carbonara<\/strong>, I really loved the creamy sauce and not too salty flavor from<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> this classic pasta dish. A true delicacy where fresh chittara<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> pasta, combined with the greatness of truffle-scented Beurre Blanc, Crispy Parma (pork ham<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, non-halal), a beautiful egg confit on top, and shaved Parmesan cheese. Best to mix all together before eating to get a rich flavor of it all.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Aglio Olio<\/strong> is available in two options; it can come with extra bacon\/sausage for an additional IDR 35K, or with chicken meat for an additional IDR 40K. The Aglio Olio<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> was also made from fresh pasta that had a nice garlic aroma, tasted delicious, but it wasn’t too spicy for the overall taste.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And friends, please do not leave this restaurant before you try some of their signature desserts, such as the Floating Island (IDR 65K)<\/strong>, various Tart from Tarte<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> by Cheryl Koh Singapore (IDR 38K per piece)<\/strong>, and Mini Eclairs<\/strong>. Floating Island (a signature dessert at Bistro du Vin, Singapore)<\/strong> is a classic French dessert that easily won my heart and perhaps, everyone who has ever tried it. The super soft meringue texture which was like clouds makes me very impressed. The meringue was floating in a vanilla custard sauce served with candied almond and crispy caramel on top. It was wonderfully sweet, delicious, and indeed the best meringue I’ve ever had! A must try!

There are many variants of tart that’s available on the cake display. We have tried some of them, such as the Dark Chocolate Tart<\/strong>, Hazelnut Caramel Tart<\/strong>, Passion Fruit Meringue Tart<\/strong>, Seasonal Fruit Tart<\/strong>, and Pistachio Tart<\/strong>. It was difficult for both of us to choose which is which our favorite tart, but each tart made by Tarte<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> has a different character of flavors ranging from very sweet, sweet and sour, tangy, and fresh fruity flavor, you can try it all.<\/p>\n

It was a lovely evening, and it was not just the food that was great, but the service too! We enjoyed everything from the beginning. All the staff were attentive and made us feel welcomed.
