HELLO KITTY CAFE Jakarta<\/strong> is set to open its cafe to the public within two more days<\/strong>, so, save the date, guys: Wednesday, May 18, 2016<\/strong>! Located in the happening culinary spot in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK)<\/strong>, North Jakarta<\/strong>, Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta<\/strong> is located right on the second floor of Tsubohachi Restaurant<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, which is also a new Japanese restaurant brought from Hokkaido (Japan). I had the privilege to join in their pre-opening session yesterday, and I’m going to spoil you with so many tempting dishes made by them where all the food has the cute elements of Hello Kitty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta<\/strong>\u00a0is like a paradise for all\u00a0Hello Kitty<\/strong>\u00a0fans out there. When I heard the name of this cafe, I thought that\u00a0Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta<\/strong>\u00a0will not much different from the\u00a0Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe<\/strong>\u00a0that I had ever visited in\u00a0Taiwan<\/strong>\u00a0several years ago. In\u00a0Taiwan<\/strong>, all the waitress dressed so cute with\u00a0Hello Kitty<\/strong>\u00a0apron, and there’s a minimum of spending 300 NT$ per person (Click here to read more about\u00a0Hello Kitty Cafe in Taiwan<\/a><\/strong><\/span>). Lucky us, there’s no such regulation in\u00a0Hello Kitty Cafe Jakarta<\/strong>! Yay!<\/p>\n

So, what’s on the menu? For snacks, they have Caesar Salad (IDR 55K)<\/strong>, Bacon Bits Fries (IDR 48K)<\/strong>, Mushroom Soup (IDR 38K)<\/strong>, and Kitty Sliders (3 mini burgers – original, with cheese, and aioli sauce, IDR 85K)<\/strong>. If you want a more filling dish, try the Breakfast Platter (IDR 95K – non-halal)<\/strong>. My husband was there without me, and he said that this was his favorite dish. How he liked the runny eggs from the two baguettes which served with bacon bits, sausages, chips, beans, and vegetables. Surprisingly, they also served\u00a0Nasi Goreng Gila (IDR 65K)<\/strong>, and you can also find some Quick Treats ranging from IDR 30K<\/strong>, such as Hello Kitty Donut<\/strong>, Cupcakes<\/strong>, Sliced Cakes<\/strong>, and etc. If you\u00a0have a sweet tooth, you will like Kitty Zilla (IDR 98K)<\/strong> which consists of banana milkshake, cotton candy, fruit loops and all the goodness.<\/p>\n

And certainly, they got the license from Sanrio Hello Kitty<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n

Oh well, not only that! If you love hotdog, go ahead try their Hot Dog (IDR 75K – non-halal)<\/strong> and Pinkwich (IDR 78K)<\/strong> where the cute Hello Kitty<\/strong> shaped sandwiches come with egg salad filling.\u00a0Brick Toast (IDR 88K)<\/strong>, Honey Brownies (IDR 78K)<\/strong>, Kitty’s Garden Pot (IDR 68K)<\/strong> are something else on the menu that might satisfy your sweet tooth. In addition to the refreshments such as Citroen and Watermelon Slush<\/strong>, they also have some selection of coffee drinks available.\u00a0I guess it was a pleasant experience, though my husband didn’t have a chance to try most of the food served that day.<\/p>\n

I personally love the beef noodles as they are quite simple yet filling, and hearty. What I would say is, if you are a fan of Vietnamese pho, chances are you will love Taiwanese Beef Noodle<\/strong> as well. It came in a deliciously flavourful broth and big chunks of tender beef. I added extra spice to give a bit of a spiciness in the broth, and it was satisfying for both of us! Their Bratwurst Risotto<\/strong> was a sort of dry-style risotto, and it tasted like tomato rice with a sticky texture of rice, served with mozzarella cheese and Bratwurst sausages on top. It was simple, sweet, savory, and delicious.\u00a0Though Iced Green Tea<\/strong> may sound basic, it was a bit bitter, unlike the common green tea that we usually find in many restaurants in Jakarta. And the Sweet-Mango Flossy Ice<\/strong> was so refreshing, nice choice of dessert for summer treats. Overall, we enjoyed the food even though the price isn't cheap, but the quality was good.
