MERDEKA!!<\/strong> Mungkin itulah sorakan kebahagiaan para pemilik restoran Padang Merdeka<\/strong> yang baru saja melakukan prosesi pembukaan\u00a0pada hari Jumat, 30 Maret 2017<\/strong> kemarin. Berlokasi di Jalan Lada no. 1, kawasan Taman Sari\u00a0(Jakarta Barat)<\/strong>, Restoran Padang Merdeka<\/strong> ini kini resmi dibuka untuk umum, namun restoran ini sedikit tersembunyi tempatnya. Meski demikian, bila kalian familiar dengan kawasan bersejarah Kota Tua, pasti tidak\u00a0sulit untuk menemukannya\u00a0karena lokasi restoran ini cukup dekat dengan Museum Fatahillah, persis di seberang gedung Bank BNI. Adapun acara gunting pita yang dilakukan oleh pemilik restoran\u00a0yang diikuti dengan tarian tradisional Minang, dan kata sambutan dari owner restoran yang didampingi dengan tim design interior, dan brand concept, menjadi satu rangkaian acara dalam pembukaan restoran Padang Merdeka<\/strong> sore itu.<\/p>\n

Di sini, kita juga dapat menemukan pattern<\/em> batik Toraja<\/strong> yang menghiasi pilar-pilar gedung, langit-langit bercorak peta Indonesia, dan beberapa spot foto yang Instagramable<\/em> seperti mural tokoh pahlawan bangsa, dan tulisan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, yang merupakan semboyan Indonesia. Di antara semua lauk yang tersedia di restoran Padang Merdeka<\/strong>, aku sempat mencoba beberapa diantaranya seperti\u00a0Dendeng\u00a0Balado, Sate Padang, Gulai Kikil, Ayam Pop, Ayam Bakar, Perkedel, Rendang<\/strong>, dan Soto Padang<\/strong>.\u00a0Satu per satu hidangan mereka terasa menggoyang lidah, karena masakannya kaya rempah, dan tanpa disadari membuat aku tenggelam dalam kelezatan rasa bumbunya.<\/p>\n

Menurut pendapatku, diantara semuanya, menu yang juara dan harus kalian coba di restoran Padang Merdeka adalah menu Ayam Pop<\/strong> yang dimasak langsung oleh chef yang berasal dari Padang<\/strong>! Meskipun terlihat pucat, ayam tanpa kulit ini terasa spesial; dagingnya empuk, dan bumbu terasa meresap ke dalam daging! Lebih baik dinikmati saat Ayam Pop<\/strong> masih dalam keadaan panas! Another favorite was the Fried Chicken<\/strong>!<\/em> Sekilas terlihat serupa dengan ayam goreng pada umumnya, namun daging ayam goreng di sini terasa berbeda. Proses memasak yang tepat, dan racikan bumbu saat merebus sebelum ayam digoreng, serta daging ayam kampung muda yang digunakan, membuat ayam goreng ini terasa begitu renyah, dan bikin ketagihan! <\/p>\n

Daging Rendang<\/strong> sapinya pun berukuran besar, tidak terlalu pedas, dan cukup empuk. Menu Gulai Kikil<\/strong> dari kaki daging sapi juga terasa lembut dan kenyal, didukung dengan kuah gulai yang gurih nan sedap, nyaris membuat aku lupa diri ingin menghabiskan 1 bagian utuh kikilnya. Oh no!<\/em>\u00a0Sate Padang<\/strong> yang disajikan dengan saus kuning, ternyata tidak pedas sama sekali. For my preference,<\/em> alangkah baiknya bila sate padang-nya hanya menggunakan bagian daging sapi saja, dan tidak menggunakan jerohan atau bagian lidah sapi.<\/p>\n

Of all the recipes available in cookbooks, I chose to make Whole Grain Chocolate Muffins<\/strong>, which uses the same ingredients with Nestle KOKO KRUNCH<\/strong>. I couldn't believe that I had succeeded at my first attempt at baking. Of course, natural light is essential for a good food photo. I totally agree with him! And sometimes it's good to keep a little mess in the photo and play with props to bring the food to life. Spa and Dinner Time<\/strong> \r\n\r\nAfter those sessions, we're given the opportunity to enjoy the scenery, strolling around the beautiful gardens, and the farm houses in the Cotswolds<\/strong> countryside. Both of us was very jetlagged because there's a 7-hour time difference between the time in Jakarta against time in England<\/strong>, but the relaxation massage in our room made us relax for a while. A soothing and detoxifying massage that uses Swedish massage techniques, unique, and nice! Deconstructive Challenge #2<\/strong>\r\n\r\nDid you know that you can make Nestle Cereal<\/strong> at home using simply good ingredients? \r\n\r\nOn the last day, we received another challenge! Yeah, we love a challenge! Ha-ha.. We had to make Nestle Breakfast Cereal<\/strong>, from scratch! Wow, can you imagine that? Well, of course, I chose to recreate my favorite Nestle cereals, KOKO KRUNCH<\/strong>, and style the final product to be able to take part in the photo competition.
