Seperti biasa, kami diajak untuk menjelajah berbagai tempat makan kuliner legendaris selama seharian dan keseruan #FoodPhilosophy trip Surabaya <\/strong>ini pun dimulai dengan menikmati sarapan berupa Soto Madura di Depot Soto Tapak Siring<\/strong>. Berlokasi di jalan Dharmahusada no. 14 – Surabaya<\/strong>, soto yang legendaris ini ternyata dipanaskan dengan menggunakan bara api, lho!<\/em> Aku melihat di dalam panci besarnya terdapat aneka jerohan yang direbus bersama daging sapi selama berjam-jam. “Nah, dalam pengolahan soto, kita harus menghilangkan aroma khas yang berasal dari sapi, baik daging ataupun jerohan dengan menggunakan bahan masak tradisional seperti jahe, sereh, daun jeruk dan kunyit”, ujar Chef Ken<\/strong> sambil menjelaskan di dalam perjalanan. Pantas saja bila rasa kuah soto di sini terasa begitu gurih,<\/p>\n

Setelah puas menikmati sarapan Soto Daging khas Madura<\/strong>, kami pun mengunjungi Tugu Pahlawan<\/strong> yang merupakan salah satu icon kota Surabaya. <\/strong>Monumen ini menjadi kawasan wisata bersejarah dan dibangun untuk memperingati peristiwa Pertempuran 10 November 1945 di Surabaya<\/strong>. Dari sana, wisata kuliner pun berlanjut ke Sate Klopo Ondomohen Ibu Asih<\/strong>. Rumah makan ini ramai sekali dan asap bakaran sate tampak mengepul di<\/p>\n

luar.\u00a0Tiap sate dibalur dan dibumbui dengan bumbu kelapa parut gurih, kemudian dibakar di atas api arang. Selain unik, tekstur satenya empuk, gurih, dan enak sekali! Kelapa-nya juga terasa sekali! Per porsi sate disajikan di atas bumbu kacang dan kecap, lengkap dengan irisan bawang merah, potongan cabai rawit, dan serundeng. Mantap!<\/p>\n

Perjalanan yang ditempuh cukup singkat berkat adanya Jembatan Suramadu<\/strong>, yaitu jembatan terpanjang di Indonesia yang menghubungkan Surabaya<\/strong> dengan Madura<\/strong>. Bebek Goreng Sinjay<\/strong> sangat terkenal, dan ternyata benar! Daging bebek ini begitu empuk, bumbunya meresap dengan baik, gurih dan renyah meskipun sedikit berminyak. Rasanya semakin mantap dengan adanya taburan kremes, daun kemangi, dan sambal mangga yang tidak terlalu pedas bagiku.<\/p>\n

Yay, it’s dessert time!<\/em> Konon, toko es krim jadul ini didirikan oleh pendatang Italia. Adapun tekstur dan penampilan es krimnya masih jadul, dan suasana tempo doeloe yang ditawarkan oleh mereka selalu dicari oleh pengunjung!<\/p>\n
