Inilah pertama kali aku berkunjung ke\u00a0B.A.T.S Shangri-La Jakarta<\/strong> dimana B.A.T.S<\/strong> sedang memiliki promo menu Cajun and Creole<\/strong> yang sangat diminati oleh para pengunjung hingga dimunculkan kembali akhir tahun ini. If you don’t know yet,\u00a0<\/em>B.A.T.S.<\/strong>\u00a0stands for Bar at the Shangri-la<\/em>. Ketika masuk ke dalam\u00a0B.A.T.S<\/strong>\u00a0kita akan merasakan suasana bar yang berbeda daripada bar biasanya. Konsep\u00a0New York<\/strong>\u00a0underground bar<\/em>\u00a0yang dimiliki oleh\u00a0B.A.T.S<\/strong>\u00a0sangat unik,\u00a0cozy atmosphere and comfortable though all area is a free smoking area.\u00a0<\/em>Dekorasi interior banyak didominasi dengan warna gelap seperti kombinasi coklat tua dan hitam, serta terdapat dinding batu bata dan sebagian tembok bergambar karikatur artis\u00a0New York<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Area bar dipisahkan dengan area makan, sehingga pengunjung yang ingin menikmati makan malam tidak terganggu dengan pengunjung yang hanya sekedar ingin minum-minum sambil menikmati suguhan musik\u00a0night live entertainment<\/em>\u00a0di sana. Selain itu, di area depan terdapat meja billiard yang bisa digunakan oleh pengunjung.\u00a0B.A.T.S<\/strong>\u00a0juga pernah meraih penghargaan dari\u00a0NOW! Porsi Sup Jamur\u00a0B.A.T.S<\/strong>\u00a0ini ternyata cukup besar, sehingga bisa\u00a0sharing<\/em>\u00a0untuk dimakan 2-3 orang bila tidak ingin terlalu kenyang sebelum menu\u00a0main course.<\/em>Menurutku tekstur sup ini sedikit cair kurang\u00a0creamy<\/em>\u00a0tapi jamurnya begitu terasa karena dibuat dari jamur yang\u00a0fresh<\/em>.\u00a0It served with a drizzle of cream and bread rolls. It’s low in fat yet rich in flavor, love it!<\/em><\/p>\n

French Onion Soup, IDR 85K<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sup Bawang ini disajikan unik dengan\u00a0bread croutons<\/em>\u00a0di dalamnya dan\u00a0melted<\/em>\u00a0Swiss Cheese\u00a0<\/em>di lapisan atas supnya.\u00a0It’s another classic soup and is favorite of many including me.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nWith its long historical root in southern USA, New Orleans’<\/strong> cuisine once again makes it way back to B.A.T.S.<\/strong> Savor the multi-cultural gourmet delights from the largest city in Louisiana<\/strong>, from Seafood Gumbo, Sausage and Chicken Jambalaya, Creole Shrimp, Cajun Grilled Chicken to the traditional Blackened Tuna with Louisiana’s<\/strong> ‘dirty rice’.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Cajun Grill Chicken, IDR 130K\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bagian daging ayam tanpa tulang ini telah dimarinated<\/em>\u00a0selama 1-2 hari dengan bumbu rempah Cajun dan disajikan dengan\u00a0grilled vegetables and roasted sweet potato. The seasoning on the chicken was tasty,<\/em>\u00a0bumbunya meresap ke dalam daging dan meskipun daging ayamnya menggunakan bagian dada, tekstur daging masih terasa begitu empuk.\u00a0It’s one of my favorite dish for that night! Recommended!<\/em><\/p>\n

Seafood Gumbo, IDR 90K<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gumbo means “okra”. If there is no okra inside it, it’s not Gumbo.\u00a0<\/em>Okra dengan kata lain adalah sayuran berwarna hijau yang biasa disebut dengan Oyong.\u00a0Okra<\/em>\u00a0menjadi bahan dasar utama yang digunakan sebagai pengental sup dalam\u00a0Seafood Gumbo<\/em>\u00a0yang dimasak. Semangkuk besar Gumbo ini berisi\u00a0oysters<\/em>, potongan cumi, udang, potongan ikan snapper,\u00a0seasoning vegetables like onions and bell peppers served with\u00a0strongly-flavored shrimp stock<\/em>\u00a0berwarna merah kecoklatan dengan tekstur kental mirip seperti kuah pada Goulash soup. Seafood Gumbo<\/em>\u00a0ini disajikan bersama dengan seporsi nasi putih.\u00a0The soup itself smells a little bit fishy, but I like the character of this Seafood Gumbo, seafood-y and a little bit spicy. Recommended!<\/em>

Sausage and Chicken Jambalaya, IDR 90K<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jambalaya is a traditional Louisiana rice, and it’s famous. The one that I had is the\u00a0<\/em>Creole Jambalaya (also called “Red Jambalaya”) instead of the Cajun style.<\/em>\u00a0This version, the rice is cooked in a tomato sauce included with meat chicken and sausage flavor blend into the rice.\u00a0<\/em>Rasa nasinya gurih mirip\u00a0salsa sauce<\/em>\u00a0dengan warna kemerahan berisi potongan daging ayam dan sosis yang cukup besar,\u00a0big love from me for this menu. Must try!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Sausage<\/a><\/p>\n

Blackened Tuna with Dirty Rice, IDR 165K<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spice-coated Tuna pan seared served with Louisiana Cajun Rice.<\/em>\u00a0Warna kehitaman pada daging Tuna ini berasal dari penggabungan beberapa bumbu seperti\u00a0Cajun spices, garlic powder, chilli powder, onion powder<\/em>, dan\u00a0herbs<\/em>\u00a0yang kemudian ikan Tuna dipanggang sehingga tampilan luarnya pun berwarna hitam gelap tampak seperti bongkahan kayu. Tekstur lapisan luarnya\u00a0crispy<\/em>\u00a0namun daging di dalamnya dimasak dengan tingkat kematangan medium. Sedangkan\u00a0Dirty Rice\u00a0<\/em>itu sendiri mirip seperti nasi goreng namun diberi daging\u00a0bacon<\/em>\u00a0dan\u00a0minced meat<\/em>\u00a0(daging cincang) di dalamnya. Rasa pada nasi ini sudah gurih sedikit asin pas sekali dimakan dengan ikan Tuna yang telah dibumbui.\u00a0Recommended!<\/em><\/p>\n

Creole Shrimp, IDR 195K\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fresh king prawn<\/em>\u00a0dipanggang dan disajikan dengan\u00a0Mango-Creole sauce<\/em>. Ukuran udangnya besar, enak sekali ketika dimakan bersama dengan saus berisi potongan mangga yang telah dibumbui dan dimakan bersama dengan seporsi kecil salad yang telah disediakan.\u00a0Recommended!<\/em><\/p>\n

Pizza di\u00a0B.A.T.S\u00a0<\/strong>sangat unik karena tersedia dalam ukuran yang tidak biasanya, karena itu aku sangat merekomendasikan teman-teman\u00a0funfoodiers<\/a>\u00a0untuk segera mencobanya! Ukuran pizza tersedia dalam 2 ukuran besar, antara 10 inch Pizza (26 cm) dan 17 inch Pizza (48 cm). Saat itu kami mencoba Pizza berukuran 48 cm (17 inch) dan karena bingung hendak memilih\u00a0topping<\/em>\u00a0yang mana, akhirnya kami memesan Pizza dengan\u00a0semua\u00a0topping<\/em>\u00a0yang ada.\u00a0This Pizza has become so popular in\u00a0<\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong>\u00a0because it’s the biggest pizza ever in J-Town, and it’s so delicious! Thin crispy Pizza with generous toppings such as feta cheese, bell peppers, beef pepperoni, mussels, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, peppered pork ham, onions, shrimps, and everything else. I’m in love with this! Must try!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Baked Chocolate Brownies is a must try dessert when you visit\u00a0<\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong>. It looks so simple, served with chocolate ice cream and the taste is amazing. The dense, moist and fudge texture made me fall in love with it!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I had lots of delicious Louisiana<\/strong> cuisine at <\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong> and really enjoyed everything! Thank you so much <\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong> and <\/em>Shangri-La Jakarta<\/strong> for the wonderful food on last Thursday. I must say that <\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong> is not an ordinary bar because they offer a unique quality of food and service. So my friends, if you’re curious about these Cajun and Creole<\/strong> things, better hurry up visit <\/em>B.A.T.S<\/strong> before the promo ends by the end of November 2013<\/strong>.<\/em><\/div>\n
