[MALAYSIA] Botanica+Co Lovely Brunch You Need To Visit Here in Kuala Lumpur

It was nice to have a short holiday together with my husband even if only for two days in Malaysia. Ha-ha.. We went to Botanica+Co Restaurant which apparently is a newly opened restaurant in Bangsar area in Kuala Lumpur. I asked one of the waiters, and he told me that Botanica+Co has just opened a month ago, in June 2016. Wohooo! We were happy to be here and immediately loved the ambiance as we walked in. Located in one of the buildings called The Verticals, Bangsar South, Botanica+Co has two different concepts, alongside one another where Botanica Deli serves sandwiches, soups, and coffee, while the Restaurant and Bar which I visited serves main courses and desserts too.

I bet you’ll love this restaurant, too. The place is very comfortable, modern, beautifully decorated, lots of greenery inside and outside the restaurant, and natural sunlight, come in through the big tall windows that surround the restaurant. We went to Botanica+Co Restaurant early before the lunch hour to have brunch, and it was not crowded at that time. But you know what? An hour later, the restaurant quickly filled up with diners, office workers, and even some of them had to queue outside. Wow! I thought there must be something good about this restaurant.

Besides the lovely ambiance, is it possibly because of their food? I wondered for a while. So, after we looked at their menu, we decided to order the Hot Latte (14RM), Halibut Fish and Chips (36RM) from the main course and Churros Donut Stack (19RM) for dessert. Although we only ordered one drink, the waiter came and gave us two glasses of mineral water that is free to refill anytime. We started with the Halibut Fish and Chips which was big enough for two persons. And although the presentation of this dish was not fancy or extraordinary, it was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, tasty, and we enjoyed it.

The meal ended well with great coffee and Churros Donut Stack which again was served in a big portion. The donut-shaped Churros stack was incredibly moist, crispy and flaky, and served with a caramel and chocolate sauce, plus Vanilla Ice Cream on top. It was so good and addictive, you should not miss this one when you visit Botanica+Co. No wonder, this dessert is the most wanted dessert in this restaurant, said one of the waitress. Highly recommended! Overall, we had a wonderful brunch here; the staff were attentive and friendly, the food was good as well as the coffee, and they’re reasonably priced! Don’t miss this place if you are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
