[THAILAND] Karmakamet Diner – Hidden Gem for Brunch in Bangkok

If you ask me where to eat brunch in Bangkok (Thailand) right now? My answer would still be Karmakamet Diner. I know, there are plenty of brunch restaurants in Bangkok, but you shouldn’t miss the Karmakamet Diner located right beside The Emporium Suites, just in between the Benjasiri Park. Beautifully set in a traditional garden, Karmakamet Diner is a hidden gem and a sanctuary for people who want to get away from the busy activities in the city. The ambiance was great and so relaxing, it feels like we have stepped into a secret world.

Karmakamet started their business as an essential oils shop back in the year 2001, and then expanded its business by incorporating a restaurant concept. No wonder the dining room is so fragrant and gives a calming effect, which made us ended spent 2,500 Baht (equal to IDR 1,090K) for the Room Perfume Spray at their shop located inside the restaurant.

Full Breakfast, 650 Baht (equal to IDR 285K)

Karmakamet Diner serves an all-day dining menu with a wide selection of brunch choices. We decided to start our dining experience with the Full English Breakfast Set which comes with a choice of fresh juice, a hot beverage (tea or coffee), a hearty English Breakfast (we opted for pancake instead of French toast), and a small pot of yogurt that comes with granola and fresh fruits inside. All components were delicious; from the crisp potato wedges, perfectly done poached eggs, baby tomatoes, chorizo, sauteed mushrooms, along with ham, and bacon, we loved it!

Crab Pasta, 590 Baht (IDR 257K)

Another favorite was the Crab Pasta as recommended by the waiter that day. You can request for the level of spiciness, but we asked them to keep cooking as per their spicy standards. The pasta was served with generous fresh chunks of crab meat and cod roe, and we really enjoyed it because it was creamy, and not overly spicy. Highly recommended!

Overall, it was a great brunch at Karmakamet Diner, and we enjoyed everything. Romantic and relaxing vibe, but with pricey food, worth trying once for its ambiance. A visit to Karmakamet Diner is a must-do when you’re in Bangkok (Thailand)! Thank you for reading, stay tuned for more updates from us.
