If you’ve heard about HARIO brand before, that’s good now Hario has just opened Hario Cafe in Pluit (North Jakarta), as world’s first international cafe after succeeded with their first cafe in Tokyo. HARIO, also known as Hario Glass, is very popular for high quality Japanese heat-resistant glassware, created especially for coffee and tea lovers since 1921. And over the past few years, Hario has become known as the coffee industry leader in pour over brewing equipment, used by cafes and home coffee connoisseurs alike.
When we stepped into Hario Cafe, we can feel that this cafe has a positive energy, yet a relaxed vibe with accompanying tunes. And we were grateful to be part of Hario Cafe’s Grand Opening day on Saturday, May 12, 2018, as we can meet Tetsu Kasuya, 2016 World Brewers Cup Champion and seeing him demonstrated how to brew coffee using the V60 method. As explained by Kazuki Okayashu, Sales Manager International Department Hario, Co., Ltd, Hario Cafe Pluit comes with 3 interesting concepts, as a one-stop destination for people to drink, eat, and shop.
In Indonesia, the distribution of Hario products is held by Toffin Product where they also launched Hario Coffee Factory at AEON Mall (BSD – Tangerang) in September 2016. But if you want to experience their specialty coffee and get some of the Hario products, they are also available at Hario Cafe Pluit. And if you love manual brew coffee, you might be familiar with the Hario V60 dripper, but the amazing this is, with Hario’s new brewing device (the digital one), customers can make and enjoy the same cup of coffee as Tetsu Kasuya, as it comes with Tetsu Kasuya’s 4:6 recipe. Cool!
