Wow! Can you imagine that?

We had a chance to taste some of the highlight dishes made by Star Chef Arena Chefs at the press conference which was held last week at RWS, so here’s a list some of the delights at TGFF 2018 that you cannot miss.

1. at FOREST森 by Chef Sam Leong, one of Singapore’s pioneering culinary stars.

Chef Sam Leong and his wife presents Braised Kurobuta Pork Belly with deep-fried bun, paired beautifully with Asian spices and flavors and a mouth-watering melt-in-your-mouth texture of pork belly. The bun came in beautiful and nice brown finish that is slightly crisp, nice!

2. at Curate by Chef Benjamin Halat,
Chef de Cuisine at Curate, and Winner of Best Dining Experience at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2018

Well, I guess you don’t have to wait until Christmas to feast and celebrate the day when a special dish like this Suckling Pig made by chef de cuisine Benjamin Halat is served at your table. It is a clever take on the traditional Chinese version of suckling pig. The color is still pink, the skin wasn’t crispy as expected but the pork was so tender, and juicy, combined with delicious stuff and tasty gravy in the middle; this was definitely worth to try!

3. at Osia Steak and Seafood Grill by Scott Webster and Douglas Tay,
masters behind perfectly grilled premium meats

Everyone knows that OSIA’s Foie Gras is so damn good! If you haven’t tried this, oh you have to!! Special for TGFF 2018, the perfectly pan seared fatty and creamy foie gras is served with pineapple textures, Vanilla, and coriander! It’s that simple, but this foie-gras is definitely one of life’s great pleasures, can’t compare it with the others!

4. at Fratelli Trattoria by Celebrity chef brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea
famed for Italian heritage cuisine from the Three Michelin-starred Da Vittorio in Lombardy, Italy

It’s hard to decide which one is our top favorite dishes at TGFF 2018 ‘coz all of them was very good, including this; Tonno Tataki by Fratelli Trattoria. Just by looking at the presentation, it’s like art! The contrast between the pink of the tuna fish, and the external color from the heat, the raw and the cooked meat, made the eyes fall in love. The texture was firm, yet tasted light, served with bagna cauda, and Pistachio crumble, we loved it!

5. at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora,
the first female Iron Chef on Food Network’s Iron Chef America and the first female inducted into the American Academy of Chefs Culinary Hall of Fame

I’ve been craving for these sliders, and so happy that we finally tried this! The Crab Cake Slider was not only adorable but packed with crab meat, so much flavor into such a cute little package. Don’t miss this dish if you visit The Great Food Festival 2018 later in Singapore.

6. at TEPPAN by the veteran Japanese Michelin-starred Chef Masayasu Yonemura

Last but not least, here’s a mouthwatering fusion of flavors at TEPPAN by Chef Yonemura for TGFF 2018 at Resorts World Sentosa. My first thought when I saw the menu, pumpkin soup for dessert, no! But after we tried this, we fell in love! We love this dish because the green tea ice cream and pumpkin soup turned out to be very tasty and match to each other! It’s served cold with Boston lobster; it’s fun, creative, and refreshing! What a splendid way to complete our day at Resorts World Sentosa.

In addition to the gastronomical delights at Star Chef Arena, attendees of TGFF 2018 can check out Rollin’ Sweet Times, the largest consumer dessert and pastry showcase in Asia created for the most discerning sweet-toothed gourmands, from exclusive-to-TGFF zones Magnum Ocean Fantasy and Tanqueray Gin Garden to hands-on masterclasses by some of the world’s trendiest bakers and maestros such as Matt Adlard, Neil Perry, and Philip Khoury.

Wine connoisseurs of the most sophisticated palates will not want to miss the wine appreciation masterclasses at The Cellar, the newly-introduced thematic zone at TGFF 2018. One may taste the fine tasting notes of six fine and premium wines including RW CLOS DE TART MOMMESIN 2005, and learn the art of wine appreciation with Jeannie Cho Lee, a renowned Master of Wine and an award-winning author, wine critic, and judge.

While the immensely popular seated dining event set in a medieval-styled banquet hosted by celebrity chefs, – Feast of Kings is currently sold out.
